Your privacy is important to us. It is AI Job Agent's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website and Chrome Extension.
1. Data We Collect
When you use the AI Job Agent services we collect the minimum amount of data required to deliver our functionality. Specifically:
- Résumé / CV text you voluntarily upload
- Basic job-listing metadata read upon user consent(button click) from LinkedIn (title, company, location, description)
- Technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps)
No other personal data are collected.
2. Processing & Storage Location
All data are transmitted over HTTPS to our API hosted on AWS (eu-central-1, Frankfurt). Résumé and job data are then forwarded exclusively to Google Gemini to compute relevance scores. Logs are stored in AWS CloudWatch. We do not process or store data in any other location.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain our Service.
- To analyse and improve our matching algorithms.
- To personalise your experience.
- To communicate product updates or support information you request.
4. Data Sharing & Selling
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party except:
- Google Gemini – for AI relevance analysis
- AWS – as our secure hosting and logging provider
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Résumé files are retained for 30 days so you can repeat analyses. They are then permanently deleted. You can delete your data immediately by clicking "Clear Résumé" in the extension or by emailing aijobagentcontact@gmail.com; we purge all stored data within 48 hours of your request.
6. Security Measures
All data are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and encrypted at rest on AWS S3 (SSE-S3). Production resources are protected by IAM least-privilege policies and multi-factor authentication.
7. User Consent Flow
The extension transmits your résumé only after you press "Upload Résumé". No data are sent automatically.
8. Cookies (Website only)
The following information on cookies and user accounts applies solely to the ai-jobagent.com website, not to the browser extension.
Cookies are small files placed on your device to improve site performance and remember your preferences. You may refuse cookies via your browser settings, but some features of the website may not function.
9. Children's Privacy
AI Job Agent is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above.
