Press Brake Operator – Metal Fabrication Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly Work Location: Dover, Pennsylvania Work Arrangement: Onsite Pay Range: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience Experience Required: Previous press brake experience preferred but not required; entry-level candidates considered Position Overview We are seeking a Press Brake Operator to join a metal fabrication and manufacturing team in Dover, Pennsylvania. This hands-on production position involves setting up and operating press brake equipment to bend and form metal components according to job specifications. Candidates with previous press brake experience may qualify for pay up to $20.00 per hour. Candidates without direct press brake experience may also be considered at the entry-level rate of $18.00 per hour. This opportunity may be a good fit for individuals with experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, machine operation, or other hands-on production work who are interested in developing press brake and metal forming skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake equipment to bend and form metal components. Position metal parts and materials correctly for forming operations. Produce bends and formed parts according to job requirements and specifications. Make necessary machine and setup adjustments to maintain part accuracy. Read and follow work orders, drawings, and production instructions. Inspect formed parts for proper dimensions, angles, and overall quality. Use basic measuring and inspection tools to check completed work. Identify and report quality, material, tooling, or equipment issues. Handle fabricated metal parts safely throughout the production process. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures. Collaborate with fabrication and production team members to meet production needs. Required Qualifications Ability to follow drawings, work instructions, and job specifications. Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts. Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work onsite in Dover, Pennsylvania. Preferred Qualifications Previous press brake or brake press operating experience. Experience in manufacturing, machine operation, metal fabrication, or sheet metal fabrication. Familiarity with sheet metal bending, metal forming, and fabrication equipment. Experience interpreting blueprints and drawings. Experience performing precision measurements and inspecting fabricated parts. Work Environment Onsite metal fabrication and manufacturing environment in Dover, Pennsylvania. Hands-on production work involving press brake equipment and fabricated metal components. Regular use of measuring and inspection tools to verify part dimensions, angles, and quality. Collaboration with fabrication and production team members. Adherence to established manufacturing, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
