CNC Machinist – Aerospace Manufacturing Location: Ogden, UT Pay: $20.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Relocation Assistance: $7,500 available for eligible candidates Multiple Openings Available Experienced CNC Machinists We are hiring experienced CNC Machinists for direct-hire opportunities in a precision aerospace manufacturing operation in Ogden, Utah. This is a skilled machining position for experienced professionals who can independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and inspect complex precision machining work. We are specifically looking for machinists with hands-on CNC setup experience—not candidates whose experience is limited to loading parts and operating pre-set machines. Experience with CNC mills, CNC lathes, Swiss-style lathes, precision grinders, manual machining, and other precision machining equipment is highly relevant. Pay, Benefits & Relocation $20.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience $7,500 relocation assistance available for eligible candidates Full-time, direct-hire position Benefits beginning Day 1 Up to $10,000 per year in tuition reimbursement 401(k) vested Day 1 with 5% company match Shift differentials for qualifying shifts Onsite cafeteria Available Shifts Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday 5:00 AM–5:00 PM 36-hour workweek Additional $6.00/hour shift differential Swing Shift: Monday–Thursday 3:00 PM–1:30 AM What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC, conventional, and specialized machining equipment Perform complex CNC machine setups using standard and custom tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices Operate multiple machines efficiently when required Machine complex precision parts to close tolerances and exact dimensional and finish requirements Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, sketches, and manufacturing work instructions Install, adjust, and adapt tooling to complete machining operations Troubleshoot CNC machining, tooling, setup, and production issues Make necessary machining adjustments to maintain part quality and production efficiency Inspect in-process and completed parts to verify conformance to specifications Use precision measuring and inspection equipment including gauges, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and other measuring instruments Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities as required Work with engineering to resolve machining, drawing, and manufacturing process issues Maintain machining equipment for cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with training and mentoring less-experienced machinists Required Qualifications 5+ years of directly related machining experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment Strong hands-on CNC machining and CNC machine setup experience Ability to independently set up and operate precision machining equipment Ability to make and evaluate complex machine setups Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications Experience machining complex parts to close and exact tolerances Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools Strong machining troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of advanced machine shop mathematics, which may include trigonometry Ability to work independently with minimal supervisory guidance Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing production priorities Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment Highly Relevant Machining Experience Experience with one or more of the following is especially valuable: CNC milling CNC turning and lathe machining Swiss machining / Swiss-style lathes Precision grinding Manual machining Complex CNC setups Tight-tolerance machining Precision measurement and inspection Blueprint reading Aerospace manufacturing High-technology manufacturing Precision manufacturing Candidates with experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setup Machinist, CNC Mill Machinist, CNC Lathe Machinist, Swiss Machinist, Precision Machinist, Aerospace Machinist, or similar skilled machining professional are encouraged to apply.
