Business Overview | As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk — or Independent Risk Management — provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk. Program Overview | The Corporate Risk Development Program ( Workout ) provides you with an introduction to Wells Fargo and an opportunity to gain comprehensive industry experience within the Commercial Banking Chief Risk Office . Your experience includes active portfolio management of a distressed credit portfolio of 10-15+ accounts as the primary analyst where you will complete quality loan reporting and credit analysis, as well as participate in customer facing conversations and monthly portfolio reviews. You will build a deep understanding of the company's operations, business strategies, and corporate culture through speaking engagements, relevant work assignments and group mentoring. You will also receive coaching and performance feedback sessions, participate in group projects and informative learning sessions with key leaders. The 2-year program is designed to provide recent college graduates with a blend of business and career developmental training opportunities that incorporate real-world experiences through on-the-job learning and professional development to help you successfully transition from college to corporate life at Wells Fargo . #earlycareers Workout Business es include : Credit Resolution Group (CRG): Manages and services troubled and distressed customer relationships across the bank's Corporate, Commercial, and Wealth Management business units. Real Estate Managed Asset Group (REMAG): Manages and services troubled and distressed real estate loans through resolution. Strong business acumen with demonstrated interest in developing a career within financial services . Strong business and financial acumen, with a commitment to providing excellent service and supporting risk-related decisions that drive business impact. Ability to act with integrity, support risk assessments and risk-based testing, apply risk controls and compliance requirements, and use sound credit management judgment to help manage risk effectively. Familiarity with AI ‑ powered productivity tools (such as chat-based assistants and built ‑ in features like Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday tasks including research, organizing information, and creating presentations with a strong interest in learning and using these tools responsibly.
