Key’s Enterprise Internship is a 10.5-week program that provides meaningful work that matters, offers feedback and coaching, and creates engaging events and conversations that will spark excitement and interest in bringing one’s full-time career to Key. Interns are involved in a host of line of business specific projects that directly impact and benefit Key’s business and strategic pillars. The program includes networking with Key teammates across all levels of the organization, a series of Learning Labs where internal and external speakers provide insight on Key’s competitive landscape, financial wellness, and professional development best practices, and an assigned mentor who shares knowledge, experience, and advice. About the Real Estate Capital Internship Program At this office location, interns may be placed in one of the following business segments: Commercial Mortgage Group, Community Development Lending, Income Property Group or Institutional Capital Group . Commercial Mortgage Group - CMG delivers capital solutions to our core internal Borrower client segments (Income Property, Institutional Capital Group, and Healthcare) and investment opportunities to our Investor base. Community Development Lending - The CDLI team is focused on providing debt and equity capital for the development of affordable housing and other community commercial real estate reinvestment development projects that benefit low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. Income Property Group - IPG is a national platform that provides project finance solutions for new development, acquisition/repositioning of existing assets, and the purchase/long-term hold of stable assets to regional and national private real estate owners. Institutional Capital Group - ICG is affiliated with the broader KeyBank Real Estate Capital platform. Specifically, ICG is focused on the unique capital and banking needs of public and private REITs, real estate operating companies, real estate fund sponsors, and real estate private equity firms. Because our Summer internship Program is a direct pipeline for our full-time Analyst positions, it offers exceptional potential for interns to return upon graduation to start a Real Estate career in Cleveland. Work assignments may include the following: Researching economic conditions and market trends Developing strategic contact databases Neighborhood, industry, and prospective tenant research Field research and preparation of marketing materials Completing a Capstone Project leveraging learnings from the Internship Performing other duties as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the Real Estate Capital team Core Competencies Critical Thinking Effective Time Management Financial Acumen Intellectual Curiosity Strong Communication Skills Synthesize/Interpret Information Team Player Qualifications Must have completed at least two years toward a four-year, undergraduate degree program with coursework in finance, real estate or a related field with an anticipated graduation in or before May of 2028 Outstanding academic achievement (minimum undergraduate 3.3 GPA) Relevant experience preferred Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities Compensation and Benefits This position is eligible to earn an hourly rate of $23 per hour. Compensation also includes a $2,000 Summer Internship Sign-on Bonus. KeyBank’s Internship and Analyst positions are not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This includes, for example, situations where a candidate may have temporary work authorization while enrolled in school or upon graduation (e.g., CPT, OPT) but would need H-1B visa sponsorship within a few years of employment in order to maintain employment eligibility.
