Job description
The Cycle Counter is responsible for ensuring a high level of accuracy of inventory levels within the distribution center. This role involves performing cycle counts daily, weekly, and quarterly to maintain inventory integrity and support operational efficiency. ### Essential Job Functions - Conduct daily, weekly, and quarterly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. - Verify and reconcile discrepancies identified during cycle counts. - Maintain accurate records of inventory counts and adjustments - Collaborate with various departments to resolve inventory issues and discrepancies. - Utilize warehouse management systems and MS Office applications to track and report inventory data. - Participate in management reviews of cycle counts and provide insights for process improvements. Additional Information: - The Cycle Counter will be responsible for ensuring that all critical items are accurately inventoried and reconciled. - The role may involve the use of iPads or other devices for verifying dimensions and other inventory details during the cycle count process. - The Cycle Counter will work closely with the management team to review specifics related to the count results and follow-up tasks. - Scheduled overtime may be required as business needs dictate. ### Job Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent. - Must be willing to work during 2nd shift hours of operation (3:30 pm - 12:30 am) - Successful completion of the basic math skills assessment. - 1-2 years of work experience in a distribution center environment. - Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Familiarity with warehouse management systems. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent organizational and communication skills, as demonstrated by verbal and written communication assessment. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Experience with inventory control and cycle counting processes. (Preferred) - Experience with RF scan gun equipment. (Preferred) - Experience with Manhattan WM systems. (Preferred) Physical Abilities: - Ability to stand for extended periods. - Regularly lift 10-25 lbs. - Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. - Material Handling Equipment Operation: Order picker, pallet jack, Swing Reach. - Ability to work in an elevated position to perform counts while wearing appropriate personal protective gear. - Ability to work efficiently to meet established position goals for safety, accuracy, and productivity.
