Job description
**You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."** You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built. At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably. You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land. **Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.** Visit us here to learn more about [Accenture Construct](https://www.accenture.com/en/construct) As Accenture continues to grow, you may see a variety of new career opportunities, and depending on the role and location you may be directed to apply through Accenture LLP or one of our other legal entities - Accenture Construct LLC or Accenture Construct Inc., with benefits varying by country and role, so please check with your recruiter for details. ### THE WORK: - You’ll represent and advise public agency clients throughout preconstruction, construction, commissioning, closeout, and turnover. - You’ll participate in design reviews and constructability evaluations to identify potential conflicts, coordination issues, operational concerns, and construction risks. - You’ll provide field-level construction management and monitor construction progress, workmanship, quality, and compliance with contract documents. - You’ll administer and coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, contractor correspondence, meeting minutes, and project documentation. - You’ll review contractor schedules, progress updates, sequencing, and recovery plans, and identify potential impacts to project milestones. - You’ll coordinate with designers, contractors, specialty consultants, inspectors, and facility end users to resolve construction issues. - You’ll support cost management, change order evaluations, progress payment reviews, and project reporting. - You’ll coordinate manufacturer startups, testing, commissioning, specialized system integration, Owner training, punchlist completion, and operational readiness. - You’ll support project closeout, including as-built documents, O&M manuals, warranties, final inspections, and facility turnover. ### HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED: - Minimum 5–10 years of progressively responsible construction management experience, preferably representing public-sector owners. - Demonstrated experience managing public facility construction projects, including municipal buildings, public safety facilities, and other institutional or government facilities throughout the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction and constructability reviews to bidding/procurement, construction administration, commissioning, closeout, and turnover. - Working knowledge of construction contracts, drawings, specifications, project schedules, submittals, RFIs, change orders, quality management, project documentation, and contract compliance. - Ability to coordinate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, authorities having jurisdiction, and facility end users to resolve issues and support project delivery and strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to independently manage field activities, document issues, recommend resolutions, and support schedule management, cost control, change management, and quality assurance. ### BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE: - Experience managing construction of essential services facilities, particularly fire stations, police stations, emergency operations centers, or similar public safety facilities; direct fire station construction management experience is highly desirable. - Familiarity with specialized fire station systems and their integration, including station alerting, emergency power, communications/IT, apparatus bay systems, vehicle exhaust extraction, security, HVAC controls, and related operational equipment; experience coordinating multidisciplinary system integration, testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and Owner training. - Experience conducting constructability reviews and identifying design coordination, sequencing, constructability, and operational issues prior to construction; familiarity with California public works construction requirements, applicable building codes, and public agency contracting procedures. - Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or other relevant professional certification preferred.
