Location Brooklyn, New York Shift: Day (United States of America) Description: Experience a Mission-Driven Career Access Service Representative – Flatbush Family Health Center – Days Access Service Representatives are responsible for setting the stage for the patient experience, by professionally and efficiently providing patients and visitors with unparalleled customer service in keeping with NewYork-Presbyterian’s goal of “We put Patients First.” You will oversee the registration process to ensure patients are registered courteously, confidentially, efficiently, and accurately and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. You will interview patients or representatives for financial and demographic data and accurately input information into the Hospital’s computer systems. In addition, you will perform a variety of clerical duties directly related to the registration, admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience. This is a full-time day shift position 9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. This position is located at the Flatbush Family Health Center for NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Preferred Criteria Experience working in a complex clinic setting and/or patient access department Bilingual in Spanish or Haitian-Creole are encouraged to apply Required Criteria High School Diploma or GED A minimum of one year of registrar-related experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Superior customer service and excellent communication skills Ability to work independently Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
