Account Executive

Job description

### **About Zero Homes** Our mission is to rebuild American communities through healthy, affordable homes. At Zero Homes, we operate on a simple premise: when you make contractors successful, homeowners win. The current home services industry is fragmented, complex, and opaque, which is frustrating for homeowners and exhausting for contractors. We are changing this by building a home upgrade marketplace that enables a simple, central, transparent process for homeowners and contractors to complete projects. Through our platform we handle design, quoting, procurement, and customer service, allowing our contractor network to focus on what they do best and make them money: delivering projects. For homeowners, this delivers a predictable, high-quality, and transparent experience—transforming home upgrades from a source of anxiety into a seamless experience. Our vision is to create a world where homeowners and contractors in all 50 states can leverage our platform to execute thousands of projects every week within the next 36 months. We work by a clear set of values: - **Be a "can do kid," not a "can’t kid":** We own our outcomes and go to extraordinary lengths to solve problems. - **Go fast, be clear:** Speed is our advantage, and we sweat the details to deliver an extraordinary customer experience. - **Customer & Contractor Obsessed:** We have a deep, personal understanding of the work to be done. We stay curious about our contractors' craft and the stories of our homeowners. - **Win, as a team:** We are building an iconic business that will reinvent the industry, and will do so together. If you are ready to build a world-class consumer experience that genuinely rebuilds American communities, come build with us. ### About Your Role & Impact We are hiring a Utility Account Executive who loves turning utility program relationships into sustained revenue growth. You will serve as the relationship engine for our most important utilities, program administrators, and channel partners across key growth regions. You will own a dedicated, mature book of business, manage complex 6- and 7-figure partnership renewals and upsells, and collaborate cross-functionally with our programs, marketing, and finance teams to turn contracted value into operational reality for our contractors and homeowners. If you want to play a key, front-line role in a high-growth organization and leverage your experience in the utility space to protect and expand our most critical partnerships, this is it. ### Who You Are You are an expert technical communicator and high-tempo relationship builder who thrives in complex, technical account ecosystems. You apply high relationship intelligence to navigate multi-threaded organizational charts and understand the underlying motives of your stakeholders. You know how to translate intricate utility-program requirements and energy efficiency frameworks into persuasive Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and expansion proposals that capture executive buy-in. You possess an innate ability to solve problems — when implementation roadblocks hit, you map out Plan B instead of waiting for answers. You deftly balance professional poise with commercial grit, knowing how to apply positive pressure internally and externally to keep program deployments, renewals, and upsells moving without damaging relationships. You care deeply about the end-to-end impact your work has on partners, contractors, and homeowners. ### What you Bring - **3–5 years of proven experience** managing complex, high-value B2B partnerships, account management, or renewal cycles within utilities, energy, or regulated markets - **Demonstrated ability to deepen and expand** executive-level relationships with Regional Energy Efficiency Programs, Utility Program Managers, Implementers, and Non-Profits. - **Exceptional written and verbal communication skills,** with a track record of distilling technical complexity into simple, compelling narratives and strategic account plans. - **Fluency in consultative frameworks** (such as NRR, MEDDPICC, others) applied to account mapping along with disciplined CRM health and pipeline management. - A bias for action and can-do mindset - taking total ownership of your territory book of business and revenue targets. - Flexibility for 30% to 40% travel to support in-market partner meetings, trade shows, and industry events. ### Compensation $150,000 - $300,000+ with achievable On-Target-Earning goals and escalators for high performance.
