Account Executive (Discovery & Closing)

Job description

Work Arrangement / Work Shift: Hybird / US shift Role Overview: The Account Executive (AE) owns the client-facing sales motion end to end — from discovery through to a signed deal. This role conducts high-quality discovery calls with prospective and existing Atticus Advisory Solutions clients, accurately understands their needs, challenges, and desired outcomes, and then drives that insight through negotiation and close, not just a handover. The AE collaborates closely with SDRs, Recruitment, Client Success, and Delivery teams to convert discovery insights into signed, revenue-generating engagements. What You’ll Be Doing: Own the full deal cycle beyond discovery — proactively drive opportunities through proposal, negotiation, and signed contract, rather than handing off once qualified. Self-generate and revive pipeline: proactively re-engage stalled, cold, or dormant leads and accounts instead of relying solely on SDR-sourced leads. Lead pricing and commercial negotiations with prospects, working within approved costing and margin guardrails to get deals signed. Own individual revenue and quota targets, and report progress against them — not just activity or conversion metrics. Run a disciplined, relentless follow-up cadence to prevent deal slippage and revive stalling opportunities. Multi-thread relationships across the buying group (champion, economic buyer, end users) to reduce single-point-of-failure risk and speed up decisions. Proactively surface upsell and expansion opportunities within existing client accounts. Take ownership of objection handling and creative deal structuring to overcome hesitation and competitive threats — going beyond the standard script when a deal needs it. Challenge client thinking where appropriate (Challenger-style) rather than simply taking orders, to shape a stronger, better-fit deal. Feed win/loss insights back into the sales playbook and share best practices with the wider team. What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Psychology, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, consulting, customer success, or account management (B2B/offshoring/tech staffing experience is a plus). Strong communication and questioning skills, with the ability to uncover deep client needs. Experience using CRM tools ( HubSpot is a must ). Ability to confidently speak with C-level and senior decision-makers. High attention to detail in documentation, qualification, and follow-through. Strong business acumen and understanding of staffing/offshoring market dynamics. Goal-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated track record of consistently hitting or exceeding a sales quota (not just managing accounts or supporting a sales process) Core Competencies: Closing Drive — a clear, demonstrated bias toward action and urgency to convert opportunities into signed business, not just well-qualified ones. Resilience & Grit — keeps momentum through rejection, stalled deals, and long sales cycles. Self-Starter / Proactive Prospecting — doesn’t wait on SDR handoff; hunts for and creates their own opportunities. Ownership & Accountability — treats quota as personal and owns pipeline outcomes end to end. Commercial & Financial Acumen — understands pricing, margins, and deal economics well enough to negotiate confidently. Executive Presence & Gravitas — holds credibility with C-level and senior stakeholders under pressure. Coachability & Adaptability — adjusts approach fast based on feedback, deal dynamics, or market shifts. Competitive Drive — motivated by winning and outperforming targets and peers. Storytelling & Value Articulation — turns discovery insight into a compelling, ROI-driven business case. Territory & Priority Management — focuses time on the highest-value opportunities without dropping the rest of the pipeline. Success Metrics: Win rate / close rate on qualified opportunities (SDR led bookings) Quota attainment (% of revenue target achieved monthly/quarterly) Self-sourced pipeline contribution (% of pipeline the AE generated outside SDR handoff) Average sales cycle length / deal velocity About Atticus: Atticus Advisory Solutions Inc. is a specialized remote staffing and IT offshoring firm based in the Philippines, providing vetted, high-quality Filipino talent to global tech startups, SMEs, and consulting firms, focusing heavily on niche areas like ERP (NetSuite), Accounting and Finance and IT, offering integrated recruiting, upskilling, and HR support to ensure high retention and reliable offshore teams.
