Account Executive, Mid-Market (San Francisco)

Job description

Location: San Francisco 🌍 We’re making security suck less for developers. Security tools haven’t kept up with how software is built today. They interrupt teams, slow releases, and turn security into a bottleneck instead of a capability. We built Aikido to change that. Aikido builds developer-first security products that reduce real risk without getting in the way of shipping software. We focus on what actually matters and automate the rest. We’re taking on legacy security tools teams have been stuck with, and we’re winning. If you want to help us take market share and build products developers actually enjoy using, you’re in the right place. Founded in 2022 by third-time founders, Aikido has $85M in the bank and a long runway ahead. We’re building toward self-securing software. Join an all-star team. Take real ownership. Push boundaries. Build things that matter. We’re looking for a Mid-Market Account Executive to own larger, more complex deals across scaling tech companies. This role sits at the intersection of product-led growth and consultative sales, working with technical buyers and broader stakeholder groups. You’ll help define how Aikido wins in the mid-market and have meaningful influence on our GTM strategy. Responsibilities Own the full sales cycle for mid-market accounts Prospect into scaling companies and technical buying groups Convert product-led usage into multi-seat, multi-team deals Run structured discovery and value-based demos Partner with marketing, product, and leadership on GTM initiatives Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene 4–8+ years of closing experience (Commercial / Mid-Market) Proven success running multi-stakeholder sales cycles Strong outbound, inbound, and deal management skills Deep comfort selling technical SaaS (DevOps / dev tools a big plus) Self-directed, organized, and highly accountable “Get stuff done” mentality with strong ownership mindset Bonus: Spanish-speaking What you can expect Short decision lines. Big ownership. Shape the projects that matter and ship fast. Grow as fast as we do. Take on more, own more, and carve out your own path. Top-tier tech pay and equity. High trust, strong values, zero corporate BS. Flexibility in working hours. A company that sticks to its values in an open and informal atmosphere. We hire for talent, drive, and potential. Everything else is noise. Job title and compensation The compensation range for this position is between $200,000 and $250,000, based on full-time employment. Actual salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and work location. Our open positions are based on job competencies that are specific to each role. If you are offered a position, the job title may be different from what is advertised to align with the role's competencies and your specific background, experience, and interview results.
