Job description

# **Accountant** **Full-Time | Remote, Canada | $55K CAD** # **Company Overview** We're scaling the best YouTube agency in the world. We've assembled a crazy-talented group of YouTube strategists and creative minds who've collectively generated over 110 billion views and shaped how YouTube works today. Our founder, Ryan Hashemi, spent seven years building Jubilee Media into a 14-million-subscriber, 5-billion-view powerhouse with four Emmy nominations, and trained the person who now runs MrBeast's studio. **Learn more about Ryan's journey [**[**here**](https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7262864813221888000/)**]** Now we're helping the world's biggest brands crack the code on YouTube and make content that people *actually* want to watch at scale. We lead YouTube creative and content programming as a strategic channel. We staff and train in-house YouTube teams for clients, hiring video producers, editors, and strategists, and build long-form storytelling systems designed to compound over time. The result: evergreen content that earns millions of views, builds loyal audiences, and drives conversions. # **How We Hire** We don't screen for pedigree or platform experience. We evaluate individual superpowers, high agency, curiosity, and the ability to do exceptional work. Our team includes SVP-level Condé Nast alumni working alongside self-taught YouTube strategists. We've got a flat culture and believe a good idea can come from anywhere. # **The Role** We're looking for a hands-on Accountant to help run the day-to-day financial operations behind Snowball. This role is intentionally broad. Rather than owning one narrow piece of accounting, you'll work across the monthly accounting cycle, including invoicing and cash receipts, AP, payroll, contractor payments, reconciliations, month-end close, reporting, and financial systems. We're looking for someone who already has strong accounting fundamentals and some real-world experience doing the work, but is excited to broaden their exposure and grow into greater ownership. Working closely with all stakeholders at Snowball and with our wonderful clients, the goal is for you to become increasingly autonomous across Snowball's day-to-day accounting operations while helping us build smarter systems and processes as we scale. # **What You'll Own** ## **Core Accounting Operations** - Manage client invoicing, accounts receivable, and cash receipt processing - Process vendor invoices and execute accounts payable accurately and on schedule - Coordinate contractor payments - Support and process payroll - Review and process employee expenses and reimbursements - Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations - Prepare and post journal entries and support prepaid and accrual accounting - Support the month-end close process and financial reporting - Investigate discrepancies and ensure transactions are recorded accurately ## **Financial Systems & Reporting** - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in QuickBooks Online - Maintain and update financial forecasts and reporting in Google Sheets - Ensure financial data is accurate and consistent across systems - Maintain and improve integrations between financial systems - Troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities to make accounting workflows more efficient - Support the implementation of new financial systems and processes as Snowball grows ## **Documentation & Organization** - Maintain the Finance Drive as the central source of contracts and financial documentation - Ensure financial records are properly stored, organized, and audit-ready - Maintain clear accounting processes and documentation - Continuously identify opportunities to improve accuracy, organization, and efficiency # **What We're Looking For** - 2–4 years of hands-on accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience - Strong accounting fundamentals and an understanding of the monthly accounting cycle - Experience across multiple areas of accounting rather than exposure to only one narrow function - Hands-on experience with account reconciliations and month-end close - Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable - Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system - Strong Google Sheets or Excel skills - Excellent attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy - Highly organized and able to manage recurring deadlines without things falling through the cracks - Curious and comfortable digging into a problem to understand why something isn't working - Proactive and willing to identify problems and propose solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do - Positive and collaborative - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving remote environment # **Compensation & Benefits** - Canadian compensation: $55,000 CAD - Health & vision benefits - Fully remote - Direct mentorship from the co-founders - Ground-floor opportunity at a fast-growing company # **Our Values** - Work hard, learn harder - Be effectively proactive - Overdeliver for clients - Be kind by being clear - A+ players only
