Due to growth we are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and build scalable processes that support the company’s continued expansion. This role will partner cross-functionally to provide reliable financial insights, maintain a strong control environment, and develop a high-performing accounting team. Responsibilities Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to maintain integrity of the general ledger Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analysis for leadership Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and financial controls Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits; prepare audit schedules and support requests Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members; assign work, review outputs, and provide feedback Build and improve accounting processes to support scalability, automation, and efficiency Oversee balance sheet accounts including cash, AR, AP, prepaid expenses, and liabilities Monitor working capital, review aging reports, and support cash flow management and forecasting Partner with FP&A, HR, Sales, and Operations on accounting-related matters (revenue recognition, payroll, benefits, etc.) Identify process gaps, risks, and control weaknesses; implement improvements and ensure compliance Support system enhancements, ERP improvements, and integrations tied to growth or acquisitions Maintain accurate documentation for policies, procedures, and audit readiness Requirements5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Experience managing month-end close and producing accurate financial statements Proven ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and develop staff Experience working with auditors and managing audit processes Strong understanding of balance sheet management and working capital oversight Experience improving processes and implementing accounting controls Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems and system optimization efforts Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment BenefitsCharles IT offers a competitive benefits program including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Paid Holidays, PTO, 401K, and bonuses. - Proven ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and develop staff
