Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a well-established public sector organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee critical financial operations and support the organization's long-term fiscal success. ### Responsibilities: • Oversee accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, cash receipts, purchasing, and capital assets • Assist with budget preparation, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis • Manage monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements • Coordinate annual audits, grants compliance, ACFR preparation, and internal controls • Supervise and mentor accounting staff while driving process improvements • Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards, policies, and regulations ### Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field • Municipal/government accounting experience strongly preferred • Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience within a public sector or municipal environment • Strong knowledge of fund accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls • CPA and/or Master's degree preferred • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
