ACR Manager-Aruba

Job description

Are you ready to shape the future with confidence? Will you shape the future, or will the future shape you? How will we work better together to build a better working world? At EY, you'll have the opportunity to build a truly exceptional experience. We empower you with the latest technology, surround you with high-performing teams, and provide the global scale and diverse, inclusive culture you need to discover your full potential. Through our coaching and training programs, you'll develop the skills necessary to stay relevant today and in the future — all while building a network of colleagues, mentors, and leaders who will be on this journey with you at EY and beyond. The Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manager of Accounting, Compliance & Reporting to join our Accounting, Compliance & Reporting team in Aruba. In this leadership role, you will engage with clients to provide comprehensive financial reporting and support, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and contributing to the overall financial health of our clients' organizations. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding financial reporting and accounting inquiries, building strong relationships to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Lead the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, ensuring timely delivery. Guide clients in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing strategic insights and recommendations to enhance their financial strategies. Monitor and analyze clients' financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and proactively addressing potential issues. Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes for clients, including reconciliations and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support clients' financial decision-making and strategic initiatives, driving value-added solutions. Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial policies for clients to safeguard their assets and enhance operational efficiency. Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries on behalf of clients, ensuring a smooth audit experience. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance reporting processes for clients. What We Look For: You have an agile, growth-oriented mindset. While your knowledge is important, the right mindset is crucial for success. We seek innovative individuals who can adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing environment. You are curious and purpose-driven. We value individuals who see opportunities instead of challenges and ask insightful questions to uncover better answers. You are inclusive. We appreciate team members who embrace diverse perspectives, value differences, and foster an environment of safety and trust. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred. Significant experience in accounting, compilation, controlling, or financial reporting, preferably within a professional services environment, with a focus on managerial responsibilities. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Caseware Cloud is an advantage. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication (Dutch, English & Papiamento) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating leadership and team management skills. What's In It For You: Accelerate your technical capabilities and transformative leadership skills with future-focused courses and development programs. Broaden your horizons by working on highly integrated teams across the globe and collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds — both professionally and culturally. Bring out the best in yourself with continuous investment in your personal well-being and career development. Develop your own personal purpose and help us create a positive ripple effect on our teams, our business, clients, and society. Are you ready to shape your future with confidence? Click to apply!
