AI Marketing Strategist (PST based)

Job description

### **What Do We Do?** Triple Whale is the AI operating system built for modern ecommerce. We help you see what's actually working in your business, what's not, and what to do next. Then we take action for you — pausing the underperforming ad, generating the next batch of creative, flagging the inventory risk before it bites. We pull every signal in your business into one place, and put it on the most trusted measurement foundation in the industry. And on top of that, we give you the most actionable AI in commerce — Moby 2 — letting you tap any LLM you want, grounded in the full context of your business. Moby 2 doesn't just surface insights, it executes decisions for you, with automations that make the rest of your stack smarter. The result: more than 65,000 brands like Kitsch, OUAI, and True Classic turn mountains of complex data into actions that actually grow profit, at a speed and scale that is not humanly possible. ### What You're Applying for Triple Whale is looking for a Context Engineer to help ecommerce brands successfully adopt Moby, our AI teammate for marketing analysis, planning, and execution. This is a customer-facing activation role for someone with strong performance marketing instincts, practical AI fluency, and the ability to help customers turn Moby into a trusted part of how they work. You will not be the long-term operator inside the customer’s business. Your job is to enable the customer’s own operators - founders, marketers, agencies, and growth teams to use Moby confidently and effectively. **\*This is a remote role with a strong preference for candidates based on the West Coast. The person in this role must be able to consistently work Pacific Time (PT) hours.\*** ### What You’ll Do - Lead customer activation for Moby, helping new users identify the first use cases most likely to create value. - Translate each customer’s goals, team structure, marketing motion, and growth challenges into practical Moby workflows. - Enable customer operators to use Moby in their day-to-day work across paid media, measurement, creative, and growth planning. - Coach customers on how to evaluate Moby’s recommendations, ask better questions, and turn AI outputs into decisions. - Be prescriptive during onboarding: diagnose opportunities, recommend workflows, and help customers build early trust in Moby. - Maintain strategic relationships with customers to help them discover and adopt new Moby use cases over time. - Identify repeatable activation patterns and turn them into playbooks the broader team can use. - Partner with product, design, and engineering to share customer feedback and improve the Moby experience. ### What You’ll Bring - Hands-on experience in media buying, growth marketing, ecommerce marketing, or agency strategy. - Familiarity with platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon, Shopify, Klaviyo, or similar ecommerce/growth tools. - Strong understanding of marketing metrics like CAC, ROAS, MER, LTV, AOV, contribution margin, retention, and payback. - Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Cursor, Replit, Lovable, n8n, or similar systems. - Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with founders, marketers, operators, and agencies. - The confidence to be prescriptive without taking over: you can recommend what to do while teaching the customer how to operate. - Curiosity, speed, and a collaborative attitude in a fast-moving environment. - **Bonus:** - Agency experience or experience managing multiple brands/accounts. - Experience scaling DTC or retail brands. - Familiarity with attribution, incrementality, MMM, or marketing measurement. - Comfort with SQL or BI tools. - Experience in customer success, solutions consulting, or performance marketing leadership. The expected base salary for this role is $120,000–$150,000 per year. Eligible employees receive medical coverage; a 401(k) with a company match of up to 3%; 30 days of paid time off accrued monthly after the first 30 days of employment; five sick days; and nine paid company holidays. Triple Whale also offers paid parental leave for eligible employees. Triple Whale is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. ### **Join Us in Making Waves** If you’re looking for more than just a job and want to be part of a movement reshaping the future of Ecommerce, Triple Whale is the place for you. We’re on the lookout for driven, curious, and creative individuals ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment. **Referred?** Got here thanks to a friend? Splash some gratitude their way!
