Having sold over 25 million unique objects, our mission is to become the world’s most popular destination for special objects. As a growing, diverse and sustainable scale-up, we proudly live by three core values. If these values resonate with you, we’d love to explore how you can join us. - Taking ownership and driving impact - Being open to change and feedback - Being passionate about our mission and our customers. Are you looking for a hands-on commercial internship where you can build real sales skills, take ownership of projects and work closely with experienced business developers? Join Catawiki’s Art Sales team and help grow our network of galleries, dealers and artists around the world. You will contribute directly to new seller acquisition, from identifying promising prospects to preparing outreach, proposals and follow-ups. This is not an observation role. You will lead defined business development projects independently, learn how a high-performing sales team operates and see the commercial impact of your work. Your contribution will be measured through the quality and growth of the pipeline you build, and the GMV generated by new sellers. ## **About the Art Sales team** You will join a team of 8 international Key Account Managers and Business Developers based across Europe. We together combine a strong commercial mindset with deep knowledge of the art market. We value ownership, transparency and results. We share best practices, challenge assumptions and test new approaches to create impact. You will work closely with 2 experienced Business Developers, who will coach you while giving you the space to take responsibility for your own projects. ## **Why this internship is exciting** - **Own meaningful projects:** take responsibility for concrete business development projects across the Netherlands, France, Spain and other international markets - **Learn practical sales skills:** develop prospecting, pipeline management, negotiation and proposal-building skills that are directly applicable to a commercial career - **Understand the art market:** learn how galleries, dealers and artists sell online, and what makes a strong partnership with Catawiki - **Use modern sales tools:** work with HubSpot, Google Workspace, AI tools and performance data to identify opportunities and improve conversion - **Gain market exposure:** represent Catawiki at events and in conversations with prospective sellers - **Work internationally:** collaborate in a direct, fast-moving and performance-oriented team, with flexibility to work from the office and from home ## **What you will do** - Support Business Developers with acquisition projects across several European and international markets - Identify and map galleries, dealers and artists - Research markets, build lead lists and turn insights into clear outreach plans - Build and manage your own outbound pipeline through email and cold calling in English - Prepare tailored proposals and follow-up communications for prospective sellers - Track pipeline activity and performance in HubSpot - Use data and AI tools to prioritise prospects, improve workflows and identify conversion opportunities - Share insights and recommendations with the Art Sales team ## **Who you are** - **You are enrolled in a Dutch University** and looking for a six-month full-time internship in sales, business development, e-commerce, art business or a related field - You are fluent in English and speak Dutch or another European language - You are genuinely interested in the art market, galleries, artists and online sales - You enjoy finding opportunities, starting conversations and turning research into action - You are confident communicating with external partners and comfortable picking up the phone and making cold calls - You are organised, proactive and able to manage projects independently - You are curious, data-minded and keen to learn how commercial decisions are made - You want a role where your work has visible impact, rather than only supporting from the sidelines ### **Why You'll Love Working with Us** - **Create a visible impact** by working at scale in a global organisation serving millions of customers across 80+ categories. In our flat structure, every role has a broad scope and directly impacts both our customers and the business. - **Learn and grow** through our Learning & Development initiatives, including clear development plans and mentorship programmes to support your career progression. - **A culture of connection defines us**. We’re a passionate, diverse team of 800+ Catawikians representing 60+ nationalities. We foster an inclusive and queer-friendly environment where everyone is encouraged to bring their full self to work. - **Celebrate life’s moments with us.** You’ll receive a €100 Catavoucher when you join, a €50 Catavoucher on your birthday, and an extra day off each year to “Pursue Your Passion**”**. We also offer additional leave for key work anniversaries and important life events. Benefits may vary by location. ### **Our Offices and Way of Working** Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam and Lisbon are designed to inspire collaboration.
