Team Member Motto “ You take care of the company, and the company will take care of you” Job Description Summary Operate the screed of the paving machine used in the process of laying asphalt Work in a team environment Perform daily inspections of equipment Be able to perform numerous asphalt paving task as needed: shovel, lute, screed, driver, broom Be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and other team members Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment Perform general labor duties when necessary Follow directions of the Foreman Properly follow all company policies When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals Qualifications To perform this job, an individual must be competent, fast learning, and have a good attitude Education/Experience Minimum or high school diploma or general education degree requires Previous asphalt paving experience is preferred Work Requirements Must be 18 years or older Must adhere to safety requirements and procedures in the employee handbook Must be willing to work in a team environment Must have a valid driver’s license Overtime hours maybe required Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold Be on time Operate Screed/Screw Be willing to train others
