About the Opportunity About the Opportunity: The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University invites applica nts for a full-time faculty position in the MS in Organizational Leadership and Corporate and Organizational Communi cation degree programs. We seek a dedicated and dynamic individual to contribute to innovative and forward-thinking programs focused on leadership development, organizational effectiveness, communication, and community engagement within complex organizational environments. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and significant industry experience as a practitioner in organizational leadership, corporate strategy, or organizational communication The position is a full -time , open rank, non-tenure track, renewable appointment located in Boston, MA. Responsibilities: This full-time faculty member is expected to bring their her/his intellectual and creative capacity to bear in advancement of the program s , seeking to serve students by participating in a range of teaching and non-teaching activities that support the advancement of the program s . They will teach a full teaching load spread throughout the year and will work with the program office on administrative issues and programmatic projects. Faculty enjoy a collegial work environment that allows for work-life balance and are expected to be available to students online and in person as needed. Teaching and actual course load may vary with other responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to: Teaching & Curricular Oversight (approximately 80% of time) Teach a variety of graduate courses in MS in Organizational Leadership and /or Corporate and Organizational Communi cation degree programs. Engage in curriculum development, program assessment, and the integration of emerging trends and practices into the academic offerings. Mentor and advise students, guiding them in their academic and professional development. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with industry partners. Service & Professional Development (approximately 20% of time) Serve on committees that support the mission of the program and the vision of the College and wider University. Promote the discovery and dissemination of knowledge through scholarship, research, creative activity, and professional development. Travel In addition to supporting the campus, occasional travel may be required to the University’s global network of campuses. Qualified candidates must be prepared to work with global student populations Qualifications: Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Organizational Leadership, Organizational Studies, Communication, Management or a closely related discipline by appointment start date or later . Evidence demonstrating a history of professional practice and engagement in the field. Substantial industry experience in organizational leadership, corporate communication, or community-focused organizational practice, preferably at a senior or executive level, with demonstrated ability to apply professional experience to teaching and learning . Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment. Experience in online or hybrid teaching modalities. Experience with industry partnerships, consulting, or collaborations. This is a non-tenure track, annually renewable position. This position requires a flexible work schedule that includes being present on the Boston campus, required evening hours and the possibility of weekend hours. Pay Range: 52-week salary ranges: Assistant Teaching Professor: $77,000.00 - $103,000.00 | Associate Teaching Professor: $77,000.00 - $111,000.00 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
