[What the role is] As part of IMDA’s Communications & Marketing Division, you will lead a team to achieve the outcomes below: [What you will be working on] Responsibilities 1. Strategic Communications and Branding Lead the development of overarching strategic communications framework, key narratives, and integrated comms plans, working across multiple departments and stakeholders Provide strategic counsel to internal teams to ensure speeches and other communication materials are aligned with strategic messages Evaluate and enhance strategic communications and branding Oversee and implement corporate identity guidelines to ensure brand alignment across all channels. Oversee data sense-making, message testing, and media analytics to measure impact. Encourage the adoption of AI and modern tech workflows to optimize content distribution and audience engagement 2. Executive Communications and Thought Leadership Develop and execute thought leadership initiatives and executive comms (speeches & presentations at events, public/media outreach) for senior leadership Identify and curate high-impact speaking platforms and strategic outreach opportunities to grow IMDA’s mindshare locally and globally. 3. Corporate Communications Plan and manage the production of corporate publications & collaterals (e.g., Annual Report, Impact e-newsletter, Infographics, greeting EDMs etc.) Appoint and manage creative, PR and other agencies (e.g., intelligent media monitoring services, research etc.) and corresponding contracts to ensure good service standards 4. Media Engagement & Press Office Oversee the full spectrum of responsibilities pertaining to media engagement – e.g. developing and implementation of the media engagement strategy, handling media queries, issues/crisis management, proactive media pitching, story ideas/bank. Keep abreast of media landscapes and trends overseas to develop relevant stories and materials to secure sustained exposure and coverage for IMDA and Singapore’s infocomm and media industry Where needed, manage foreign media visits to Singapore to profile the infocomm tech and media capabilities of Singapore-based businesses Evaluate, measure and make recommendations on the impact of IMDA’s media efforts [What we are looking for] Requirements Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Public Relations/Government Comms/Public Affairs/Journalism Minimum 5 years of team/staff management experience Experience working with and pitching to journalists (especially, tech, media, manpower, business beats) across media channels a plus Ability to understand business units’ needs and translate these needs into impactful strategic communications plans to be disseminated further Creative writing and presentation skills necessary; experienced in managing senior stakeholders for public engagements Highly-driven and energetic, able to thrive and deliver results in fast-paced working environment Self-starter in project management, creative thinking to enable quick turnarounds on projects in a timely manner Experience with managing third party agencies/vendors/suppliers Ability to work well independently while being a strong team player Curiosity and interest in the tech and media industry Position will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
