Job description
Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Bangkok, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Sales with strong expertise in the travel trade and wholesale segment, and a genuine passion for driving business through key distribution channels. Responsibilities Supports the development and execution of the annual Sales & Marketing Plan, with a primary focus on Corporate, MICE, and Group Business segments to drive revenue growth and strengthen the hotel's market position. Drives revenue through strategic business development and partnerships with corporate accounts, multinational companies, meeting planners and other key MICE partners across domestic and international markets. Develops, manages, and expands a strong portfolio of corporate, MICE, and group accounts by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships. Conducts sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, client events, and networking activities to promote the hotel's accommodation, meeting and event facilities, products, and services. Works proactively to secure corporate accounts, meetings, conferences, incentive groups, and other group business opportunities, ensuring a strong and sustainable sales pipeline. Monitors market trends, competitor activities, and developments within the Corporate and MICE sectors, providing market intelligence and working closely with the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing to implement proactive sales strategies. Maximizes revenue opportunities through effective account management, upselling, cross-selling, and strategic business development initiatives across assigned market segments. Tracks account performance, business production, and revenue contribution, preparing regular sales reports, forecasts, and action plans to ensure business objectives are achieved. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration with Revenue, Reservations, Marketing, Events, and Operations teams to deliver exceptional client experiences and commercial success. Leads, coaches, and supports members of the Sales team, fostering a high-performance culture while ensuring alignment with departmental goals and luxury service standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline. Proven sales experience gained from an ultra-luxury hotel or internationally recognized luxury hospitality brand, with a strong background in Corporate, MICE, and Group Sales. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing Sales team while consistently delivering commercial results. Strong business development skills with an established network of corporate accounts, multinational companies, meeting planners, event organizers, PCOs, DMCs, and other key industry partners. Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue across Corporate and MICE segments. Results-driven, highly organized, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment. Fluent in both Thai and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
