Job description
**Associate Developer I ( Temp- Hire)** at Tevora Irvine, CA **If you haven't heard of Tevora, it's because we've done our job!** Tevora is a tight-knit community of professionals with a shared passion for our craft. Every day, we combine in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity, technology, and compliance to help create more secure digital environments. To Tevorans, every problem is a puzzle in need of solving. We strongly believe that if we put smart, driven people in a room together, they will accomplish great things. We maintain a supportive culture that celebrates continuous learning, diverse perspectives, and sharing the wins. That's why we have our eyes on you. **What's the role?** Tevora is seeking a Developer to join our internal product engineering team on a temporary-to-hire basis. You'll work directly under the leadership of our senior developer, contributing to Atlas — Tevora's AI-enabled compliance engagement platform — and other internal tooling that powers how we deliver for clients. You'll start in a temporary engagement, with a clear path to full-time conversion based on performance and fit. Atlas is a modern TypeScript / Next.js application: it manages compliance engagements across frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS, with role-based workflows for both internal Tevora teams and external clients, document automation, and LLM- assisted features throughout. This is a hands-on role for a developer who is fluent in modern AI-assisted development workflows and excited to build alongside an experienced engineer on a real, production product. ### A day in the life could include: - Build, test, and ship features across the Atlas stack — Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript, Prisma/PostgreSQL, Tailwind + shadcn/ui — under the guidance of our senior developer - Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor) as a core part of your daily workflow - Work with Claude Opus and Fable models to accelerate development, debugging, and prototyping - Integrate and iterate on LLM-powered features and internal automations - Translate compliance and product requirements into clean, maintainable, well-typed code - Participate in code reviews, learn our stack and conventions (RBAC, activity logging, unified service layers), and grow your craft quickly - Help document and improve internal development practices ### Necessary skills and qualifications: - 2–3 years of software development experience, or equivalent demonstrated project work - Hands-on experience with Claude Code and Cursor in a real development context - Working knowledge of TypeScript and a modern React framework (Next.js strongly preferred) - Experience building automations, agent skills, and workflow tooling - Comfort with relational data and an ORM (we use Prisma + PostgreSQL) - Practical familiarity working with Claude Opus and Sonnet models (prompting, iterating, integrating outputs) - Self-starter mentality — someone who likes to tinker and learn on their own - Ability to take direction, ask good questions, and incorporate feedback - Strong written and verbal communication - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience / Military equivalent) - Recent graduates with strong, demonstrable AI-assisted development work are encouraged to apply ### Bonus Points: - Exposure to compliance, security, or SaaS product environments - Experience integrating LLM APIs into applications (e.g. Anthropic, Google GenAI) - Familiarity with our broader toolset: AWS (S3, Lambda, SES, SQS), Tailwind CSS / Radix / shadcn/ui, TanStack Query, Zod, Vitest/Playwright - Experience with authentication and enterprise SSO (SAML, Okta, JWT) - Comfort with Git and conventional commit / CI workflows ### We've got you covered! - Comprehensive benefits offering - Paid time off and holidays - 401k with Company match - Vibrant work culture - Growth Opportunity ### Additional requirements: - Eligibility to work in the United States.
