Associate Director of Sales

Job description

**A bit about us** At Placemakr, home meets hospitality. We’ve combined the best of apartment living, vacation rentals, and hotel stays into one experience. We partner with developers, property operators, and investors to curate a collection of apartment-like spaces in hand-picked neighborhoods. Our tech-enabled buildings create one-of-a-kind guest experiences and add tremendous value to the underlying real estate. Whether guests are with us for a night, a year, or somewhere in between, these are more than just spaces to spend the night — they’re a place to call home. Our property team members help our buildings thrive by focusing on execution and ensuring a great experience for both residents and guests. Our non-property team members support property execution and the evolution of other areas within our platform. They can enjoy remote-first work with the freedom to choose their location — as long as they have access to a workspace and reliable Wi-Fi. We believe collaboration is key, so our remote-first teams and property leaders have biannual in-person get-togethers at various locations across the US. From corporate non-property team members to our property teams and leaders, we’re looking for collaborative, driven individuals to join us as we continue to expand our presence. As the Associate Director, Local Sales-Scout Living PCM Placemakr Atlanta, your primary role is to lead and manage our local property sales team members. You will manage a team of sales professionals at your property and work to grow their revenues and meet budgets. You will work cross-functionally within the organization to drive sustained revenue growth at Scout Living alongside your property sellers. Your work will directly impact Scout Living’s revenue growth and brand positioning with a focus on driving long-term value and market share. This is a leadership role that requires both high-level strategy and hands-on execution, where you must blend relationship-driven sales leadership with data-informed strategy. This role will work a hybrid work schedule, at least 3 days on property required, with more as needed to meet the business needs of any particular week. ### What You'll Do • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a sales strategy for the property that aligns with company-wide revenue objectives. Provide coaching, goal-setting, and mentorship to your team of sellers, while setting vision, priority, and performance expectations. • Revenue Growth: Drive bookings across all segments at your property. Ensure revenue and market share goals are achieved through proactive management. Work to have your team find more business from both existing accounts and new business accounts continually. • Team Management: Oversee day-to-day activities of the property sales team, including pipeline development, performance tracking, training, and professional development. Expand and deepen strategic relationships. Hold team meetings and 1x1 meetings in a regular cadence to ensure that the team is up to date with the latest and best information, as well as review your team’s pipelines to make sure that nothing is missed. • Sales Enablement: Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations to optimize pricing, positioning, and customer experience. Coordinate internal resources to support new client onboarding and post-sale engagement. • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Guide team strategies and participate in outbound prospecting, pipeline generation, and lead qualification. Support your team with high-priority meetings and key decision-maker engagement to continue digging into current accounts. • Industry Engagement: Guide your team’s involvement in industry boards, associations, and conferences. Local/Regional travel is required occasionally to participate in these types of events, in addition to participation in company conferences. • Data & Reporting: Monitor KPIs and team performance metrics. Report on pipeline, bookings, forecasts, and customer feedback to senior leadership. Act as a liaison between your team members and property and executive leadership to ensure clear, constant and consistent communication. Identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement. • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of corporate travel trends, competitor activity, and economic shifts to inform sales strategies and strategic direction. Build new revenue streams by identifying emerging verticals and partnerships in the travel ecosystem and working to grow accounts beyond the line level to higher value partnerships. • Platform Collaboration: Work closely with key supply-side partners and third-party platforms to improve conversion rates and response times. Ensure that you’re fully aware of all key personnel and engaged with each level within these companies, as well as continually work to drive more market share and win more bids. • Sales Operations: Ensure CRM hygiene, team accountability, and transparency across all pipeline activities. Partner with senior sales leadership on market expansion, pipeline growth, and strategic investment decisions. Engage with sales leadership often to ensure that the correct information is communicated between that team and the sales team to make the best revenue decisions for Placemakr as a whole. • Prioritization: Set clear, measurable goals with action plans. Prioritize high-impact opportunities and optimize team resources accordingly. Establish KPIs and reporting systems to track performance, forecast trends, and drive continuous improvement. Always put the company’s best interest ahead of any individual salesperson or team to have the most revenue achievement. • Ownership Involvement: Attend ownership meetings as assigned to speak on your team’s efforts. Act as a representative of Placemakr to build confidence with our real estate partners and ownership group when speaking on behalf of the sales team. ### What It Takes - Degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus - 8+ years of progressive experience in B2B sales, with experience in a leadership or team management role with a proven track record of managing teams and exceeding revenue targets. - Prior experience in hospitality, corporate housing, extended stay, or business travel required - Strong verbal and written communication skills with executive presence and negotiation ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders at all levels. - Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth. - Exceptional leadership and team management skills, including leading by example as a top sales performance and sharing expertise to increase individual sales performance. - Strong proficiency in negotiation, communication, and relationship-building. - In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, market dynamics, and customer preferences. - Willingness to travel within the region and, on occasion, beyond. - Proficiency in CRM tools, this location uses Delphi; familiarity with ZoomInfo and sales enablement platforms is a plus. - Ability to analyze sales data, forecast trends, and make data-informed decisions - Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments. - Demonstrated experience building scalable sales strategies and operational processes in a high-growth environment. - Strong data driven decision making mindset - Passion for innovation in hospitality and an entrepreneurial spirit - Embody Placemakr’s values: You Own It.
