The Auto Body Painter is responsible for restoring vehicles to like-new appearance following collisions, dents, scratches, or other damage. You’ll apply expert painting, refinishing, and paint-matching techniques to meet or exceed factory standards, ensuring customer satisfaction with every job.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare vehicle surfaces for painting: sanding, cleaning, smoothing, masking, priming as needed to ensure proper adhesion and finish. Applies all primers, sealers, basecoats, color coats, and clear coats using the correct formulations according to the specifications provided by the paint manufacturer. Perform high-quality paint and refinishing work — including color matching and blending new paint with existing paint to achieve a seamless finish. Refinishes vehicles in accordance with insurance guidelines and the quality standards set by management.
