About the role
At Transform9, a broken call flow means a patient can't reach their doctor. Quality isn't just a process concern — it's a patient safety concern. As a senior automation testing engineer, you'll own the test strategy and automation infrastructure for a real-time voice AI platform, ensuring that every agent behavior, integration point, and call flow performs exactly as expected before it ever reaches a live patient.
What you'll do

- Develop test frameworks and tooling that enable the broader engineering team to write and run reliable tests efficiently
- Define and enforce quality standards and testing best practices across engineering teams
- Build simulation and regression frameworks for real-time voice and conversational AI scenarios
- Partner with platform, provisioning, and integrations teams to ensure test coverage across all system boundaries
- Own test environments and CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution
- Investigate and triage production quality issues; drive root cause analysis and prevention
- Develop testing approaches that satisfy HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements

- Deep understanding of testing strategies across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers
- Strong analytical and debugging skills — able to diagnose failures in complex distributed systems
- Experience testing APIs, backend services, and event-driven architectures
- Track record of raising quality standards across a team, not just writing tests
Nice to have
- Experience testing real-time systems, telephony, voice platforms, or conversational AI
- Load/performance testing experience for high-throughput systems
- HIPAA-regulated or compliance-heavy environment experience

Our mission is to transform access to care by making every patient interaction fast, reliable, and human-centered.At Transform9, we believe the front door to healthcare should work as well as the care itself. Patients shouldn’t wait on hold, struggle to schedule, or feel lost navigating a practice. Providers shouldn’t be buried under phones, workflows, and staffing constraints. We’re building the infrastructure that connects patients and practices with clarity, consistency, and trust.Transform9 is a conversational agent platform that handles high-volume patient communication for physician practices. Our agents answer phones, schedule appointments, route calls, and resolve common requests—seamlessly integrating with practice systems and adapting to each clinic’s real-world workflows and preferences. The result is fewer missed calls, shorter wait times, and a better experience for both patients and staff. We partner with forward-thinking practices to replace fragile call flows with dependable, always-on access. Our platform is built to handle the complexity of healthcare operations while remaining flexible, transparent, and easy to deploy.Transform9 is growing quickly as practices look for better ways to scale access without sacrificing quality. We’re building a team that cares deeply about execution, ownership, and real-world impact—and we’re just getting started.
