Job Title: Automotive Apprentice Technician Location: 8250 E 121st Street South, Bixby, United States, 74008 Job Overview: As an Automotive Apprentice Technician at Christian Brothers Automotive, you will be provided mentorship and training to learn how to perform diagnostic and mechanical repairs under the guidance of a Master Automotive Technician. You will gain confidence, build experience, and the skills required to be a successful Automotive Technician. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work side by side with a certified Automotive Technician and will learn to repair engines, steering and suspension, automotive HVAC systems, and much more Build experience and skills as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles Perform State Inspections Perform routine maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, etc. Perform honest, clear, and complete multi-point vehicle inspections in service to our guests Work as part of a team to solve technical problems quickly and effectively You will use your skills to get vehicles ready for our customers, ensuring they are safe and reliable Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization Working together with other technicians you will solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver great results Qualifications: A strong motivation to learn a mechanical service career path Attending an Automotive Program or recent graduate preferred Some knowledge and experience in repairing vehicles preferred Shows a high level of interest, willingness to learn, and embraces new ideas Good communication skills and strong attention to detail Self-motivated and exemplifies a positive attitude A valid driver’s license Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools Walk/stand for the majority of the workday Drive manual transmission vehicles Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment Efficiently navigate a computer Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) began in 1982 with the simple premise of providing precision auto repair with transparency, integrity, and a philosophy of people first.
