This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, research‑driven pharmacy team delivering safe, compliant, and efficient technical services across a wide portfolio of clinical trials. **📝 Key Responsibilities** As the Senior Pharmacy Technician (Clinical Trials), you will: - Support the day‑to‑day running of the Clinical Trials Pharmacy service - Work alongside Senior Clinical Trials Technicians to ensure safe and compliant handling of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) - Assist in developing trial processes aligned with Trust strategies and study requirements - Ensure all trial activity follows legislation, GCP, and local governance procedures - Coordinate staffing within the trials area and contribute to workforce planning - Promote strong teamworking across the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team - Support training, competency assessments, and development of technical staff - Maintain safe systems of work including COSHH, infection control, and statutory standards **📍 Location** **Oxford Road Campus – Manchester Royal Infirmary (MFT)** **💼 Working Hours** **37.5 hours per week** Full‑time, Monday–Friday (on‑site) **🎓 Qualifications & Experience Required** **Essential:** - BTEC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Science - GPhC‑registered Pharmacy Technician - Accuracy Checking Technician qualification (ACT Level 4) - Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills - Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team **Desirable (Not Essential):** - **Clinical Trials Pharmacy experience** – full training will be provided **Important:** ❌ **Aseptic experience alone will NOT be accepted as a substitute** for the technical and regulatory requirements of clinical trials. **📨 How to Apply** If you're looking to develop your career within Clinical Trials and want to join a forward‑thinking, supportive NHS Trust, please get in touch today.
