Responsibilities Greeting customers : Welcome guests and seat them Taking orders : Input orders into the POS system and relay them to the kitchen Serving food and drinks : Deliver food and drinks to customers in a timely manner Ensuring customer satisfaction : Check on customers throughout their meal and address special requests Handling payments : Accept cash or card payments and deliver checks Maintaining a clean work area : Keep the dining area clean and tidy Collaborating with kitchen and staff : Communicate with kitchen staff and cooperate with other serving staff Additional duties Setting and arranging tables Presenting menus and beverage lists Opening bottles and pouring beverages Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to kitchen Making recommendations based on guest questions and preferences Up-selling when appropriate Adhering to all relevant health department rules and regulations must be able to travel into Wilmslow
