Job Description: Behavioral Health Technician Location: Quincy, IL Department: Clarity Healthcare – Residential Services (substance use disorder) Employment Type: Part-Time (29 hours weekly) Shift: Friday 7 AM – 1 PM | Saturdays & Sundays 7 AM – 7 PM On-call shift coverage as needed Requirements: Must be 21 years old Job Summary Are you a compassionate and dedicated professional looking to make a meaningful impact in behavioral health and substance use recovery? This role is ideal for individuals with experience in medical or healthcare settings who are passionate about supporting individuals on their recovery journey. Position Perks & Benefits Starting pay: $16.50 + shift differential ($0.50 – $2.00, if applicable) 403(b) Retirement Plan with up to 5% match (available to part-time employees) Ongoing professional development and growth opportunities Supportive, team-oriented environment Meaningful work that makes a difference every day Key Responsibilities Collaborative Care: Participate in treatment planning and team meetings Client Support: Assist with daily living activities and provide support/education Program Monitoring: Ensure adherence to program guidelines and report concerns Medication Oversight: Follow protocols and coordinate with nursing staff Admissions Support: Assist with intake, safety checks, and specimen collection Transportation: Support client transportation needs as required Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum of 2 years consistent work history ✅ Medical/clinical experience strongly preferred (CNA, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Tech, EMT, or similar backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply) License: Valid driver’s license Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old Additional Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment Basic computer proficiency Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment is a plus Additional Requirement For applicable staff: Must provide evidence of being free from infectious/contagious diseases (e.g., TB) prior to employment and annually thereafter.
