Believe in Good and volunteer with us at Weeroona Aged Care Centre, Bass Hill

Job description

ABOUT US The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity. Salvation Army Aged Care has been caring from the heart since 1880. Make a heartfelt difference and put a smile in someone's heart. Would you like to brighten someone’s day? Our residents can’t wait to meet you. The Salvation Army Aged Care is calling YOU! Smiling and laughing are contagious, so we’d love you to join our compassionate team of workers and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents! Support our Lifestyle Team on outings – if you have a C Class drivers license you could be helping to drive our residents to visit some of the lovely sights around town or supporting our drivers and team taking our residents on outings and to appointments. Share Your Talents in one-on-one interactions or in our group activities and outings. Share your love of arts and crafts, or gardening, read a book/newspaper /magazine, play cards or a board game, listen to music with a resident, do manicures. A couple of hours a week or fortnight will make a huge difference in the lives of our residents and provide valuable support to our Lifestyle team. Build Lasting Connections: Join a warm and welcoming community where you'll build meaningful relationships with both residents and fellow workers. Share stories, laughs, and moments of joy as you create lasting memories together. Take the Next Step: Ready to join the Salvation Army Aged Care Volunteers and make a heartfelt difference? Reach out to us today and discover how you can become a vital part of our team, bringing love and care to our beloved seniors. 30% of people living in residential care are lonely and socially isolated. Together, let's create a caring and supportive community for our aged residents and help fight this statistic. Join Salvation Army Aged Care Volunteers and be a beacon of hope and kindness today! #SalvationArmy #AgedCare #Volunteers #Community #MakeADifference #JoinUs The Salvation Army is an Equal Opportunity Employer who provides an inclusive work environment and embraces the diverse talent of its people.
