Job description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate **BI Solution Architect** to lead our Business Intelligence transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for: ### BI Practice Innovation - Develop reusable accelerators. - Optimize Power BI Service and workspaces—not just dashboards. - Expedite the end-to-end development process, ensuring we do more with less. - Lead programs that transform dashboard migration involving thousands of dashboards within a few months. - Establish governance frameworks and best practices. - Identify opportunities to automate repetitive BI development tasks. - Build utilities using PowerShell, Power Automate, REST APIs, and Microsoft Fabric capabilities. - Leverage AI-assisted development where appropriate. - Explore Copilot and AI-driven features to improve productivity. ### Dashboard Modernization & Migration - Lead migration of dashboards from legacy BI platforms such as Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, Business Objects, SSRS, MicroStrategy, and Excel to Power BI. - Assess existing reporting environments and define migration strategies. - Develop migration frameworks, templates, and automation utilities. - Optimize migrated reports for performance, usability, and maintainability. - Minimize business disruption during migration initiatives. ### Accelerator Development Design and maintain reusable accelerators that improve project delivery, including: - Power Query transformation libraries - Deployment automation scripts - Report validation and testing frameworks - Governance toolkits - Metadata documentation generators - Performance optimization checklists - Migration accelerators - Security and Row-Level Security (RLS) templates - Continuously enhance accelerators based on project learnings and evolving best practices. ### Solution Architecture - Design scalable enterprise Power BI solutions. - Optimize DirectQuery, Import, Composite Models, and Hybrid Tables. - Ensure solutions meet enterprise scalability, performance, and security requirements. ### Performance Optimization - Diagnose slow reports and datasets. - Optimize DAX calculations and Power Query transformations. - Improve dataset refresh performance. - Optimize semantic models for large datasets. - Reduce report rendering times through efficient visual design. - Recommend capacity optimization strategies for Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric. ### Technical Leadership - Mentor Power BI developers and conduct technical reviews. - Lead design discussions and architecture reviews. - Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to standards. - Support complex development efforts and production issue resolution. - Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and internal technical communities. ### Training & Capability Development - Develop onboarding programs for Power BI developers. - Create internal learning paths and technical documentation. - Conduct workshops on DAX. --- # Must-Have Skills ### BI & Visualization - Building BI products & accelerators end-to-end - Tableau - Power BI ### Programming - Python - React - Node.js ### APIs - Power BI APIs - Microsoft Fabric APIs - Tableau APIs ### Data Warehouses - **Local:** MySQL Server, DuckDB - **Cloud:** Snowflake, Databricks ### Cloud - Microsoft Azure - Microsoft Fabric ### Scripting - PowerShell - YAML - JSON - XML ### DevOps & DataOps - Git - Docker --- # Good-to-Have Skills - MSFT MVP Credential - Contributions to open source projects - Experience of building accelerators in the past - End-to-End product thinking from ideation to GTM --- # Key Competencies - Enterprise BI Architecture - Dashboard Modernization - Accelerator Development - Performance Tuning - Technical Leadership - Innovation Mindset - Problem Solving - Stakeholder Management - Coaching & Mentoring - Communication & Presentation --- # Success Metrics (KPIs) - Reduction in dashboard migration effort through reusable accelerators. - Improvement in report performance and refresh times. - Increase in Power BI adoption across business teams. - Percentage of reusable components adopted across projects. - Reduction in development cycle time. - Governance compliance across workspaces. - Developer productivity improvements. - User satisfaction with Power BI solutions. - Successful delivery of migration and modernization initiatives. - Growth of organizational Power BI capability through mentoring and training. --- # Nice-to-Have Certifications - Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) - Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) - Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) - Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) **Note:** > *By submitting your application, you consent to being contacted by our Talent Acquisition team via phone call, email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other communication channels regarding your application and relevant career opportunities.*
