We are currently recruiting for a Boning Hall Supervisor to work in our busy Beef Boning Hall on our Merthyr Tydfil site. This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday from 6.00am with a competitive salary.Job Role:Responsible for all Boning Hall Operatives ensuring consistency and compliance to boning, butchering, trimming and finishing requirements for red meat for sale and consumption, in accordance with client specifications and Company SOP’s. - Ensure product is of the highest standard, reporting any issues to the Manager immediately
- Familiar with daily production plan, working with team to set up line, completing relevant checks and ensuring materials are ready to use
- Oversee/perform all prestart, hygiene and safety checks as required
- Complying with quality specifications and understanding yield values
- Minimising and reporting of waste appropriately
- Identifying and/or reporting any accidents or near misses, assisting with investigations as instructed/necessary
- Report all breakages, damages or defaults of equipment immediately to the Boning Hall Manager, only using equipment when safe to do so
- Participate fully in Lean Manufacturing processes and embrace new methods of working
- Identifying and effectively addressing performance issues, escalating to management/HR as appropriate
