## About Us At Arbor Energy & Resources Corporation ("Arbor Energy"), we’re creating technology to power our lives while protecting the planet that sustains them. Our advanced power systems deliver clean, reliable baseload electricity with zero operating emissions—modular, fuel-flexible, and engineered for the realities of today’s energy demand. At the core is a supercritical CO₂ turbine with integrated carbon capture, designed to bring carbon-neutral power online quickly at meaningful scale. Our team includes aerospace engineers, combustion experts, and systems thinkers with a shared goal: to build technology worthy of the world we want to live in. While many of us began our journeys looking to the stars, we’re applying that expertise here at home to deliver dependable, emission-free baseload power and a future of lasting abundance. If you share our values and are drawn to rigorous work with lasting impact, we’d love to learn more about you. Come build what the future will run on. **Steward our planet**: We build for tomorrow, ensuring every bolt we tighten and every hand we lend leaves our environment stronger than we found it. **Lead with Love**: We champion the success of our people, partners, and planet, nurturing excellence through camaraderie and rigor. **Explore the Uncharted**: We embrace the unknown with curiosity, using courage and discipline to transform uncertainty into opportunity. ## Role Overview As a Brand Marketing Manager at Arbor Energy, you’ll be the first in-house marketing team member reporting directly to the COO to translate marketing strategy into consistent execution across company storytelling, industry presence, audience engagement, and marketing operations. This is an in person opportunity in our El Segundo, CA office. ## Responsibilities Build the story engine - Partner closely with engineering, commercial, and company leaders to understand Arbor's technical progress, commercial milestones, and emerging proof points. - Identify stories worth telling, explaining why they matter, and translating complex work into clear briefs for content, PR, and other marketing initiatives. - Serve as the primary internal partner to Arbor Energy’s external marketing team to provide context, source internal input, coordinate feedback, and ensure the final work is accurate and consistent with Arbor’s brand. - Build a dependable process for turning company progress into external stories while protecting technical accuracy and brand credibility. Own industry presence - Build and manage the marketing calendar and marketing plan for relevant conferences, technical forums, speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and other priority industry moments. - Match the company’s leaders and subject matter experts for each opportunity, coordinate messaging and preparation, and repurpose the resulting content and insights for digital, investor, and commercial audiences. Grow the audience and build engagement - Help define how the company will build direct relationships with audiences interested in Arbor’s capabilities, progress, and presence. - Recommend the right channels and programs, then develop and execute a consistent audience engagement plan. - Use audience and channel performance to improve program decisions over time. Build the marketing operating system - Translate marketing priorities into clear plans, briefs, timelines, owners, and next steps. - Coordinate asset production, manage feedback and approvals, and follow work through to completion across internal teams and external partners. - Source and manage agencies, freelancers, technical writers, and other marketing vendors when additional expertise or capacity is needed. - Turn recurring work into practical processes and workflows that improve quality, visibility, and speed. - Use tools and automation thoughtfully to strengthen the team’s operating leverage. ## Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience. - 6+ years of brand or integrated marketing experience, ideally within a complex technology startup and/or agency environment. - Demonstrated experience turning company, product, technical, or commercial milestones into clear marketing stories and programs for external audiences. - Strong brand and editorial judgment, including the ability to identify a compelling story, develop a clear creative or content brief, and provide useful feedback on work in progress. - Experience executing across several areas of marketing, such as content, events, speaking programs, campaigns, social media, email, or other owned channels. - Experience building and engaging an audience, evaluating channel performance, and using those insights to improve marketing decisions. - Experience partnering and managing the relationship with external marketing partners from initial brief through completion.
