Business Immigration Associate – Remote, 4+ Yrs (H/L/PERM/E)

Job description

Manifest Law is one of the first AI-native corporate immigration firms in the country, and one of the fastest-growing — proof that attorneys want to practice law this way. Our attorneys handle sophisticated, high-stakes matters, with technology that removes the busywork rather than replacing the lawyer. Manifest was built to offer the best of both worlds: the scale of a larger firm with the quality client service of a boutique. Manifest OS — the technology that powers the firm — carries the operational weight, so our attorneys spend their time where it actually matters: on strategy, on judgment, on the client in front of them. The result is a practice with the care of a boutique and the capability of a large firm. We think the practice of law should be a craft, and the attorneys who do it well deserve a practice that grows with them — supported by technology, not replaced by it, with the time and autonomy to build something that's genuinely their own. We're building the kind of institution attorneys are proud to put on their résumé. This is a firm for attorneys who want more from their career: real ownership of your cases, the kind of client relationships that come from having time with them, a sustainable pace, and a front-row seat in building what a modern immigration practice can look like. Immigration law has been done the same way for decades. We're here to raise the bar, and we're hiring the people who will raise it with us. ## **What You'll Do** ● As a Manifest Attorney, you guide clients through one of the most important decisions of their lives and carry matters forward to the outcome they need. Owning a matter from handoff through final submission, building the legal strategy, and managing every milestone. ● The opportunity to work across a variety of immigration cases or focus on your specialty — **H-1B, PERM, L-1A/B, and TN**, along with E-1/E-2/E-3, O-1A, EB-1C, and EB-2 NIW — clients could range from funded startups to large enterprises, with complexity and autonomy that scale with your experience. ● In a strategic consulting capacity: use your legal judgment to assess which prospects have legitimate cases, build trust quickly, and set honest, clear expectations. ● In a case management (production) capacity: manage the client relationship through the life of the case and work with the paralegals in your team on document collection, organization, and filing logistics so your time stays on strategy and outcomes. ● Advise clients directly on petition strategy, RFE response, and compliance obligations — including managing high-volume employer accounts, HR contacts, and deadlines. ● Use Manifest's AI tools and technology to support case quality and efficiency in either mode — not as a shortcut, but as a genuine performance multiplier. ## **What We're Looking For** ● J.D. and active U.S. bar admission ● Strong working knowledge of employment-based immigration, including NIV and IV matters – Ideally, **PERM, H-1B, L-1A/B, and TN, alongside E-3, O-1A, EB-1C, and EB-2 NIW** ● Clear, confident communication — you explain complex legal concepts in plain language and make HR contacts and beneficiaries feel supported ● Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy — you document thoroughly and hand off cleanly ● Comfort in a high-cadence environment with real volume expectations **Mid-Senior Level Associate (Yrs 4–7)** ● ***Focus:*** Hands-on with high volume employment based cases, for example H-1B, PERM, and/or intracompany-transfer experience; comfort working directly with HR contacts; proactive ownership approach. ## **Why Attorneys Join Manifest** ● **Higher-agency work** | Intake, document collection, status tracking, and client updates run through Manifest OS — the administrative weight of practice is reduced. Your day goes to strategy, drafting, and the client. ● **No billable hour** | We charge clients flat fees, so there's no timekeeping requirement and no billable target. Your work is judged on outcomes — what gets filed and how clients experience the relationship — not hours recorded. ● **Remote by design** | The legal side of the firm works remotely. It's how the firm was built, and there are no plans to change it — practice from wherever you do your best work. ● **Real upside** | Pay is competitive from day one, with incentives tied to client outcomes and firm performance, so strong work is rewarded as the practice grows. ● **Ground floor** | Manifest is an ambitious firm building the infrastructure to last — and to change the way law firms operate. Attorneys who join now grow with it: into senior roles, into leadership, into shaping what the practice becomes next. ● **Your experience shapes the practice** | Attorney feedback and firsthand case experience directly inform what the firm builds next, so the technology keeps evolving around how the best lawyers actually work. ## **Ready to Help Redefine Legal Work?** We're looking for attorneys who lead through expertise, treat Manifest's technology as a genuine performance multiplier rather than a shortcut, and want to do the most meaningful work of their careers. The attorneys who thrive here are full-time, deeply client-centered, tech-forward, and mission-driven — energized by building something real, not just joining something finished. If that's you, we want to hear from you. **Compensation & Pay Transparency** *Manifest is a remote-first firm, and this role is open to candidates in the United States. The good-faith salary range for this position is **$130K - $195K USD**. This range reflects base compensation and may not include bonus, equity, or other components of total compensation. Actual pay is determined by a range of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's location, experience, education, and skills, as well as the specific scope of the role. Candidates outside of the United States are welcome to apply, and compensation will be assessed according to regional models.* ## **Our Use of AI in Recruiting** *Manifest uses AI-powered tools to support administrative aspects of our recruitment process, such as organizing applications and surfacing candidate information for review. Some interviews may also be recorded and transcribed using an AI note-taking tool, used solely to support accurate note-taking — it does not score, analyze, or evaluate candidates in any way. These tools do not make hiring decisions, and no candidate is advanced, screened out, or otherwise dispositioned without review by a member of our human recruiting team. You are welcome to ask any interviewer for a non-recorded conversation instead. If you would like to request a reasonable accommodation or an alternative application process at any stage, please contact your recruiter.*
