Job description

Lead strategic sourcing activities including supplier evaluation, selection, development, qualification, and product launch ramp-up aligned with commodity and development strategies. Review supplier’s processes and identify improvement opportunities in processes and systems to improve quality, cost and flow of supplied materials. Act as the technical liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders (Sales, R&D, PM, Engineering and Production); Work with New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated effectively to supporting suppliers. Use project management skills and tools to investigate alternate component technologies and lead VA/VE efforts for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability and implement changes. Continuous involvement in the Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides a competitive advantage to our BAs. Conduct supplier audits, negotiate contracts and risk analysis/mitigation plans.
