$7,500 sign on bonus for experienced candidates Summary Provides surgical care to patients within the operating room under the supervision of perioperative nurses and/or surgeons. Utilizes AORN standards, recommended practices, and guidelines' as a reference to ensure quality, safety and appropriateness of patient care. Education Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program. Certification, Registration & Licensure Certification required to obtain: Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire. Medical Technician - NH Board of Registration of Medical Technicians Experience A minimum of 1 year experience as a surgical technologist. Responsibilities Plans for surgical procedures by assembling instrumentation, equipment, and necessary supplies. Maintains the integrity of the sterile field by utilizing knowledge of aseptic technique. Assists surgeon and physician assist (P.A.) with activities at the sterile field. Participates and engages in center activities. Functions as a leader for surgical team. Performs sterilization of equipment. Assists with maintaining a clean and safe surgical environment. Pro-actively plans and participates in requirements for surgical case. Helps to contain supply costs. Performs other duties as assigned. Concord Hospital is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
