This position involves frequent contact with government clients to assist with the day-to-day engineering operations of local agencies. **Accountability and Duties:** - Performs professional engineering and design work for government clients. - Prepares reports, plans, specifications, construction schedules and permits for transportation, water/wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects. - Obtains and evaluates pertinent field data for proposed construction projects. - Prepares engineer’s opinion of probable cost and engineering design calculations. - Assists with development plan reviews for compliance with local ordinances. - Maintains a good relationship with clients. - Prepares permit applications for capital projects. - Assists in preparation of proposals for engineering services. - Mentors and assists with training Staff Engineers. - Delegates specific project assignments to Staff Engineers. - Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. - Shares responsibility for project schedules and timely completion of projects. - Participates in business development activities. - Professionally represents the firm at client meetings/hearings. - Assists with the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, billing and A/R. - Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university - Registered professional engineer with five years design experience in government capital projects, including transportation, water/wastewater and stormwater improvements. #LI-JK1 Pay Range $93,000—$125,000 USD **Atwell Benefits:** To attract and retain the best professionals in the industry, we aim to provide an excellent working environment and a progressive benefits program designed to support your personal and professional needs. **Work/Life:** - Generous Paid Time Off - Paid Parental Leave - Flexible work schedules are available for some positions - Tenure Awards — Travel Vouchers to see the world based on your travel preferences **Compensation:** - Competitive Compensation packages - Annual bonuses, spot bonuses and peer recognition awards - 401K match - 1:1 up to 4% of compensation - Tuition Assistance - Student Loan Repayment - Paid Licensing / Certification Fees and Renewals - Financial Rewards for Obtaining Licensure - Employee Referrals - Annual Wellness Reimbursement for anything wellness related (Gym memberships, fitness tracker, home gym equipment, etc.) - Dependent Care Match **‘Atwell’ness:** - Medical (BC/BS), Dental (Delta), and Vision (VSP) - Family Planning & IVF Benefits - Pet Insurance - Health Savings Account & Flex Spending Account options - Employer paid LTD, STD, and life insurance - Metlife Supplemental Benefits covering accident, hospitalization, and critical illness - Member Assistance Program (MAP) with complimentary counseling sessions, legal benefits, financial consultations, and work/life referral services
