We are seeking a **Civil Engineering Intern** to support our coastal infrastructure team in **Newport, RI** or **Marion, MA** for **Summer 2027**. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and gain experience in waterfront engineering, including structural inspections, hydrographic surveying, dredging, construction management, and more! This is your chance to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings to protect coastlines and support navigation nationwide. ### Primary Responsibilities: - Work directly with team members on various project deliverables in the dredging, environmental permitting, civil and coastal engineering fields - Conduct topographic & hydrographic surveys and 3D drone scans with certified team members - Assist with structural inspections and construction oversight activities - Support design work utilizing AutoCAD - Prepare local, state, and federal permit documents - Assist with data management and report preparation ### Required Qualifications: - Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or similar engineering field from an ABET-accredited program - GPA of 3.0 or greater - AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
