Northern Southland Transport is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class 5 Truck Driver to service our daily freight run between Invercargill and Te Anau. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in customer service, and appreciates the stunning scenery of Southland and Fiordland. About the Role Based out of Invercargill, you'll be responsible for operating a truck and trailer unit on a daily freight run from Invercargill to Te Anau, delivering and collecting freight for a variety of rural and commercial customers. Key responsibilities include: • Safe operation of a truck and trailer unit • Pick-up and delivery of general freight • Loading and unloading freight using a forklift • Providing excellent customer service to our valued customers • Completing vehicle checks and required documentation • Maintaining high standards of health and safety compliance What You'll Need To be successful in this role, you'll have: ✅ Full Class 5 Driver Licence ✅ Dangerous Goods (DG) Endorsement ✅ Current Forklift Licence ✅ Strong commitment to health and safety ✅ Excellent time management and communication skills ✅ A professional and customer-focused attitude ✅ Ability to work independently and take ownership of your run What We Offer • A permanent, full-time position • Consistent daily run with regular hours, Monday to Friday. • Modern, well-maintained fleet • Supportive team environment • Opportunity to work for a trusted rural transport operator If you're a motivated driver who takes pride in delivering freight safely and efficiently, we'd love to hear from you.
