Client Director

Job description

About the role As a Client Director at Tecknuovo, you will own and grow a portfolio of strategic client relationships, helping organisations solve complex challenges through technology and transformation. Sitting within our Engagement Hub, you will be responsible for understanding our customers’ priorities, identifying where Tecknuovo can add meaningful value, and turning those opportunities into long-term partnerships and sustainable commercial growth. You will hold overall accountability for the success and growth of your accounts. Depending on the size and complexity of the portfolio, you may lead Client Partners who focus on the day-to-day management and success of live Statements of Work, or you may retain direct responsibility across the full client lifecycle yourself. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across our customers and with our Delivery and Technical teams to shape solutions that deliver measurable outcomes. From developing new relationships through to growing established accounts, you will provide strategic and commercial leadership throughout the client lifecycle. This is a senior role with significant autonomy and influence. You will help shape how Tecknuovo goes to market, strengthen our position with customers and ensure our growth remains aligned with our North Star and Values. Key responsibilities Own the overall success and growth of a portfolio of high-value client accounts, developing deep relationships and creating sustainable commercial growth. Shape and lead strategic account plans, identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships and develop new areas of business. Build trusted relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders, developing a strong understanding of their organisations, transformation priorities and challenges. Identify, shape and convert new opportunities, translating complex customer needs into commercially viable, outcome-led propositions. Maintain strategic oversight of live engagements, ensuring delivery continues to support customer outcomes, account growth and long-term relationships. Where appropriate, lead and support Client Partners responsible for the day-to-day management of live SOWs, providing direction, coaching and escalation while retaining overall accountability for the account. Where accounts do not require dedicated Client Partner support, take direct ownership of the client relationship across both live engagements and future growth opportunities. Work closely with Delivery, Technical and wider internal teams to design and mobilise services that deliver measurable outcomes for our customers. Provide strategic and commercial oversight across Statements of Work, ensuring propositions deliver clear customer value while supporting Tecknuovo’s commercial objectives. Maintain a strong understanding of the technology, digital transformation and competitive landscape, using this insight to inform customer conversations and identify emerging opportunities. Strengthen Tecknuovo’s position in the market by helping articulate our impact through customer success stories, case studies and thought leadership. Ensure client and commercial activity aligns with Tecknuovo’s North Star, operating model and Values. Who you are and how you’ll make an impact You will bring significant experience in technology consulting or digital transformation, with a strong track record of developing strategic client relationships and growing complex enterprise accounts. You understand how to move beyond traditional supplier relationships and become a trusted strategic partner. You are comfortable operating with senior business and technology leaders, asking the right questions to understand their priorities and translating those conversations into opportunities that deliver value for both the customer and Tecknuovo. You have experience shaping technology services and solutions, taking opportunities from early-stage conversations through proposition development, commercial discussions and mobilisation. You understand the balance between customer outcomes, delivery feasibility and commercial performance and can make sound judgements across all three. You are comfortable operating at different levels within an account: maintaining the strategic customer relationship and identifying future opportunities while retaining visibility of live delivery. You know when to stay close to the detail and when to empower others, and may have experience leading account or client management teams within larger portfolios. Commercially, you have a demonstrable record of delivering against revenue targets and growing accounts over time. You are comfortable developing account strategies, navigating complex organisations and identifying where relationships can be expanded. You communicate with credibility and clarity at executive level and are equally effective working across multidisciplinary internal teams. You create alignment around opportunities, provide direction where needed and bring structure to complex or fast-moving situations. You are highly autonomous and comfortable operating in a scale-up environment where priorities can evolve quickly. You maintain a strong understanding of the changing technology landscape and use that knowledge to strengthen customer conversations and identify where Tecknuovo can make a meaningful difference. Experience working across both public and private sector organisations would be valuable, particularly where you have developed an understanding of their different commercial, procurement and regulatory environments. A day in the life Your day might begin with a conversation with a senior customer stakeholder about their transformation roadmap, exploring an emerging challenge and where Tecknuovo could support. You could then catch up with a Client Partner on one of your larger accounts, reviewing the health of live SOWs, customer feedback and any areas requiring your support, before turning your attention to the account’s wider growth plan and upcoming opportunities. On another account, you might be closer to the day-to-day relationship yourself, working directly with Delivery and Technical colleagues to ensure a live engagement is progressing successfully while continuing to build relationships and identify what comes next. Later, you might bring together colleagues from Engagement, Delivery and Technical to shape a new opportunity, present a proposition to executive stakeholders or work through the commercial and delivery considerations needed to mobilise a new engagement. Across the week, you will balance the strategic growth of your portfolio with oversight of live client relationships, adapting your level of involvement depending on the size, maturity and needs of each account.
