# Coal Mining Professionals > Hire · United States (Remote) · Full-time · Posted 2025-12-30 **Salary:** USD 110,000–185,000 **Workplace:** remote **Department:** Mining, Renewables & Petrochemical ## Description Hire Resolve is assisting mining organizations in hiring experienced **coal mining professionals** across the United States. This multi-role opportunity covers surface and/or underground operations, engineering, maintenance, HSE, and production planning functions. These roles are designed for **mid- to senior-level candidates** and provide a pathway toward **Superintendent, Operations Manager, and Site Leadership** roles. ### Key Responsibilities - Lead safe, compliant coal production across underground and/or surface operations - Maintain and strengthen **MSHA** compliance programs, inspections, investigations, and corrective actions - Drive daily execution through production planning, crew leadership, equipment utilization, and KPI reporting - Improve equipment availability and reliability (mobile fleet, fixed plant, conveyor systems, prep plant interfaces) - Support ground control, ventilation, and production sequence planning (as applicable) - Oversee contractor management, permitting workflows (role-dependent), and operational readiness - Lead continuous improvement initiatives (cycle time, downtime reduction, cost/ton optimization) - Support capital projects, maintenance shutdowns, and commissioning activities - Develop teams through coaching, SOPs, training, and performance management ## Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety, or related discipline (or equivalent experience for certain leadership roles) - Typically **5–12+ years** in coal operations, maintenance, planning, or HSE leadership - Strong experience with **MSHA** requirements; underground and/or surface exposure preferred - Familiarity with maintenance systems (CMMS), work management, reliability practices, and reporting tools - Strong communication and leadership in site-based environments; comfortable with shift/rotation work ## Benefits - Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) - Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) - Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) - Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) - Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) - Short Term & Long Term Disability - Training & Development ## Apply [Apply at Hire ](https://apply.workable.com/hire-resolve-the-top-recruitment-agency/j/475EEB76A8/apply) --- Powered by [Workable](https://www.workable.com)
