Through its economic gardening program, SBED connects business owners to market research, data-driven insights, and strategic tools that help businesses grow and create jobs. SBED also provides peer counseling, educational workshops, networking opportunities, and specialized services designed to strengthen and scale small businesses. What our office does: The CSN Entrepreneurship Center, operated through SBED at the North Las Vegas campus, is a hub for innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial learning. The Center provides students with opportunities to develop business ideas, build entrepreneurial skills, and gain real-world experience through workshops, mentoring, competitions, and hands-on learning opportunities. Position Description This position supports students, staff, and the SBED team by: Greeting and assisting students visiting the CSN Entrepreneurship Center, including managing student sign-in, maintaining the cleanliness of the space, and monitoring the use of computers and other equipment Assisting with the preparation of marketing materials, social media content, and promotional flyers Promoting SBED programs, events, and Entrepreneurship Center resources to the CSN community Setting up the Entrepreneurship Center for workshops, meetings, and special events, while providing basic technical support for presenters and guests as needed Assisting with the setup and execution of on-campus events and outreach activities Performing other duties as assigned by the SBED Director Our services benefit : CSN students and staff Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs: Business Management Degrees/Certificates that result in employment that requires office and customer service skills May also support work experience in Graphic Design and Marketing Preferred Qualifications: Be friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn Have a good understanding of diverse multicultural environments Be able to follow directions and communicate effectively Have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy Proficiency in basic web management and social media platforms Exempt No Full-Time Equivalent 50.0% Required Attachment(s) To be considered for this position, candidates must attach the following documents: 1. Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired. Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment. * Student’s cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.
