Commercial Carpentry & Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Handy Man. The Handy Man will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs - Respond to maintenance requests from staff and tenants in a timely manner - Troubleshoot and repair issues with HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and electrical systems - Supervise and coordinate the work of external contractors when necessary - Fabricate and weld metal components as needed - Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals - Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential maintenance issues - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols - Travel if needed to each our real estate Skills: - Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices and procedures - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff and tenants - Experience supervising and coordinating the work of external contractors - Familiarity with logic controllers and other automated systems - Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals - Ability to fabricate and weld metal components as needed - Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal - Knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues #ILL1 Job Type: Full-time Salary: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday On call Ability to Commute: Bloomington, IL (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Bloomington, IL: Relocate before starting work (Required) Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred) Work Location: In person Edit job Open View public job page
