**Thayer, LLC/Commercial HVAC Technician/Portland, Maine** **Thayer, LLC** is seeking a**Commercial HVAC Technician**to serve the Portland Area to Auburn, ME area. This position is to be dispatched directly from home. **Job Summary:** As a Commercial HVAC Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems for regional clients from a take-home 2023+ company truck — a fully stocked mobile office. You bring the craftsmanship and local knowledge; Thayer provides the support team, the equipment, and steady commercial work with high-earning overtime potential. ### What We Offer: - Hourly Pay starting at $36.00 per hour, plus high-earning overtime potential - Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision plans - HSA, FSA, and Dependent Care Reimbursement accounts - 120 hours (3 weeks) of PTO, accruing from Day 1, plus 8 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday; roll over, up to 40 hours each year, with unused PTO above 40 hours paid out annually - 100% tuition/materials reimbursement, plus company-paid license renewals - Immediate 7% 401(k) match — 100% company match up to 7%, vested immediately - 100% company-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, plus 100% company-paid Basic Life and AD&D insurance - Dispatched from home — no shop commute; drive straight to the job site in your take-home company van - Take-home 2023+ truck with gas card and cell phone, plus dedicated tool and boot spending accounts, uniforms, and in-house Fleet Manager support - Employee Assistance Program, parental leave, and referral program ### Qualifications: - Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC experience - Valid driver's license and a clean driving record - EPA Certification (required) - Gas License (required); Oil & Solid Fuel license preferred - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote/travel role - License/Certification ### Responsibilities and Scope: - Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems and related equipment across your service territory - Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability for regional clients - Assist with equipment installations as needed - Manage your assigned region effectively in coordination with your Territory Technician Lead - Work in sync with the dispatch and service team to ensure efficient resolution of customer needs - Deliver excellent service and build trusted relationships with the customers in your region - Maintain your take-home company truck as a clean, stocked, and reliable mobile office - Follow all safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training
