Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking Commissioning Mechanical Engineer who will execute commissioning of Mechanical Building Systems , HVAC, Chilled Water, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems on complex projects to achieve safe, SBC/ASHRAE-Compliant , on-schedule handover with complete and auditable records. Key Responsibilities: Perform tests per approved Method Statements / ITPs / Test Packs (pre-functional & functional); log measurements precisely and keep punch/defect lists current. Commission HVAC equipment & networks: AHU/FAHU/FCU , fans, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, CHW /condensing water loops, valves/actuators/controls. Support TAB activities: chilled-water hydronic balancing, air balancing for AHUs/FCUs/extracts; verify coil ΔT/flow, damper positions, and leakage classes. Run/verify ventilation & smoke control tests (stair/lobby pressurization, car-park CO); record pressure/flow/door-force data. Witness plumbing system commissioning: hot-water boilers, booster/transfer/irrigation/sump pumps, tanks, heat exchangers; pressure/disinfection tests. Monitor pre-commissioning readiness: flushing/cleaning, water quality, pressure tests, filter/coil hygiene, fire damper drop checks. Execute CRAC/IT room load/heat tests, capture trends and acceptance criteria. Participate in BMS point-to-point/sequence checks; verify alarms/safeties and support IST with Fire Alarm/ELV/Electrical . Prepare evidence packs and invite Consultant/Client for witnessing; assist with cause-and-effect verification and close-out. Contribute to O&M/training inputs and red-line/as-built updates; submit weekly status to the Commissioning Manager . Required Qualifications: 5–8 years of mechanical testing & commissioning on mid-to-large projects (healthcare, data centers, airports, high-rise or industrial). Hands-on TAB (water/air), pressure/leak/chlorination tests, smoke control checks, equipment functional tests; IST participation. Standards literacy: SBC, ASHRAE, SMACNA/DW144, NFPA, IPC/CIBSE basics; HSE awareness ( PTW/LOTO ). Competent with meters/loggers (DP/flow/temperature, anemometer, manometer, data logger); disciplined reporting. Preferred Qualifications: Complex facilities commissioning (Tier-III/IV DCs, hospitals, labs) and authority/third-party approvals (e.g., Civil Defense / House of Expertise in KSA). Controls/BMS exposure (Siemens/JCI/Honeywell/etc.), data loggers, trend analysis, and Power BI/advanced Excel for trackers.
