### **Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Adults Services** **Location:** Leeds **Contract:** Temporary (Minimum 3 months) **Hours:** Full-time (Monday to Friday) – Part-time may be considered for the right applicant Our client is seeking an experienced **Band 6 Occupational Therapist** to join their team in Leeds. This role involves working with **adult patients across a wide range of clinical areas**, providing specialist occupational therapy interventions and supporting independence. #### **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver occupational therapy interventions for adults, covering: - Older people, frailty, falls, dementia - MSK and Neuro (including Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis) - Medical and orthopaedic conditions - Independently hold, prioritize, and manage a caseload. - Provide **long-arm advice and supervision** where required. - Apply knowledge of **Mental Capacity Act (MCA)** and support patients making unwise decisions. - Assess and recommend **equipment provision, aids, and adaptations**. - Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care. #### **Requirements:** - HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist. - Broad clinical experience working with adults across multiple specialties. - Awareness/experience of MCA and decision-making processes. - Basic knowledge of equipment provision and adaptations. - **Car driver with access to own vehicle and business insurance** (essential for commuting across hub areas). - Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload. #### **Why Join Our Client?** - Supportive team environment with long-arm supervision available. - Opportunity to work across diverse clinical areas and make a real impact. - Flexible working arrangements (full-time or part-time considered). - Competitive rates and minimum 3-month contract.
