TURNER STAFFING GROUP Connecting Talented Professionals with Great Opportunities Field Technician 1 - Construction Materials Testing St. Louis, Missouri | Full-Time | On-Site / Field-Based Turner Staffing Group is partnering with our client, a leading provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection services for civil and commercial construction, to find an Entry Level Field Technician I in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a great launching point for a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry, with hands-on exposure to construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, and more. What You'll Do ● Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete, and other materials), providing assessment of data through reporting. ● Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to guide fieldwork. ● Use established methods to make detailed observations of site activities and provide limited interpretation of results. ● Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results. What You Bring ● 1 year of construction-related field experience. ● Valid driver's license and reliable driving record. ● Willingness to work off-shift and overtime as needed. ● Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30–50 lbs frequently, and 50+ lbs occasionally with assistance. ● Ability to hear and process detailed information through oral communication, including sound discrimination. ● Ability to kneel and squat occasionally, and to walk/stand for extended periods. ● Comfortable working outdoors in adverse weather, including hot and cold temperatures. ● Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.
