**This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Consultant - Oracle Apex Developer based in India.** This is an opportunity for an experienced Oracle APEX professional to build and enhance business-critical web applications in a consulting environment. You will work across the full development lifecycle, from understanding business requirements through implementation, testing, documentation, and delivery. The role combines hands-on development with application support, optimization, and continuous improvement. You will use Oracle APEX, SQL, and PL/SQL to create reliable solutions aligned with business needs. Collaboration is central, with opportunities to work alongside technical teams, internal stakeholders, and project partners. The position is well suited to a flexible, agile developer who enjoys solving challenging problems and expanding their technical expertise. You will also have opportunities to cross-train and develop your capabilities through additional learning and certifications. ### Accountabilities - Develop and maintain **web applications using Oracle APEX**, delivering solutions that address defined business and technical requirements. - Use **Oracle SQL and PL/SQL** to develop, enhance, optimize, and support database-driven applications. - Work through the end-to-end development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, feasibility assessment, solution design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation. - Analyze business needs and translate development requests into practical, scalable, and effective technical solutions. - Develop detailed project plans and contribute to resource allocation, progress tracking, implementation activities, and on-time delivery. - Coordinate with IT teams, internal customers, and project partners to ensure alignment throughout development and implementation. - Support application enhancements, troubleshooting, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Oracle APEX solutions. - Participate in testing, change-control processes, documentation, and user training as required. - Monitor project progress and help ensure deliverables remain aligned with agreed requirements, timelines, and constraints. - Stay adaptable in a changing environment and contribute to cross-training and knowledge-sharing initiatives. - Take on additional responsibilities or assignments as business and project needs evolve. ## Requirements - **4+ years of relevant professional experience** in Oracle APEX development, with strong hands-on exposure to PL/SQL, APEX, HTML, and JavaScript. - Proven experience building **Oracle APEX web applications** from requirements through implementation and deployment. - Strong expertise in **Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL**, including experience with Oracle 10g/11g environments. - Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end software development processes, including requirements gathering, development, testing, implementation, and support. - Experience developing, enhancing, supporting, and optimizing Oracle APEX applications. - Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective development solutions. - Working knowledge of **HTML and JavaScript** for application development and customization. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to application quality and performance. - Flexible and agile approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Team-oriented mindset and willingness to cross-train, share knowledge, and pursue relevant professional certifications. - A graduate degree in any discipline, combined with relevant Oracle APEX experience. - **Python knowledge is an added advantage.** ## Benefits - **Full-time, permanent** position with a standard 40-hour work week. - **Remote/hybrid work flexibility** in India. - Flexible work environment designed to support a healthy **work-life balance**. - Opportunity to work on challenging enterprise technology and consulting projects. - Exposure to diverse business requirements and end-to-end Oracle application development. - Opportunities for **cross-training, continuous learning, and professional certifications**. - Collaborative environment with experienced technical and consulting professionals. - Traditional employee benefits as part of the overall compensation package.
