Job description

Job Title: Patient & Consumer Marketing AI Lead Department: Enterprise IT & Quality Location: Ballerup Your impact begins here As Patient & Consumer Marketing AI Lead, you will shape how Novo uses AI to connect with the people we serve. You will turn business priorities and Novo’s AI ambitions into a clear roadmap of AI products – from personalisation and next-best-action to conversational AI and content intelligence – and lead a multidisciplinary team that takes them into production. Your work will help improve patient experiences, strengthen consumer relationships and deliver measurable commercial results across global and local markets. What you’ll bring You combine AI and data product leadership with a strong understanding of marketing and customer engagement. You will also bring: 10+ years of progressive experience across AI, advanced analytics, marketing technology, customer engagement, data product development or commercial data science. Experience leading AI or data product teams – including data scientists, engineers, product managers and analysts – and building high-performing, future-ready capabilities. A track record of turning business priorities into scalable AI products in consumer, patient or marketing domains, such as personalisation, next-best-action, content intelligence, conversational AI or campaign optimisation. Experience owning AI-enabled products end to end: from opportunity identification and roadmap through MVP, production deployment, adoption, value measurement and continuous improvement. A solid understanding of generative AI, machine learning, data platforms, cloud, experimentation, model governance and product engineering, so you can engage credibly with business and technical colleagues. Experience working with customer, consumer, patient or marketing data responsibly, including GDPR, data governance, privacy, security, content review and responsible AI expectations. Strong business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, manage trade-offs and explain complex AI concepts in plain language. Useful, but not essential: Experience in pharma, healthcare, life sciences or another highly regulated industry. What you’ll do You will own the AI roadmap for consumer, patient and marketing experiences – and make sure it delivers measurable value. Shape the Consumer, Patient & Marketing AI roadmap and set the direction for AI-powered marketing platforms, personalisation, next-best-action, content intelligence, conversational AI, customer data products and advanced analytics – in line with architecture, security, privacy and data governance standards. Run a value-driven prioritisation framework that weighs business and customer value, data readiness, feasibility, regulatory considerations, adoption potential and capacity. Lead AI products from ideation through MVP, production, adoption and optimisation, balancing innovation with operational support, platform evolution and technical debt. Define standards with enterprise architects and platform teams for solution design, reusable AI components, experimentation, model governance, content generation workflows, testing and monitoring. Set and track success metrics, from customer engagement and patient activation to campaign performance, AI adoption and commercial value. Lead, coach and develop your team in AI product development, marketing analytics, agile delivery, experimentation, responsible AI and data-driven decision-making. You will also work closely with enterprise architects, platform teams, data governance, legal, privacy, security, medical and risk colleagues, so AI products use trusted data, meet GDPR and responsible AI requirements and keep human oversight in place. With strong executive sponsorship, you will have the backing to decide and move at pace. What you can expect here You will take on enterprise-scale challenges at the intersection of AI, marketing and patient engagement, with the trust to set direction and own the results.
