Content Marketing

Job description

## About Vitalize Our Vision: Unlock Healthcare's Full Capacity Health systems still run critical operations like staffing, labor planning, and capacity on spreadsheets, phone calls, and guesswork. Vitalize is building the AI operating system for how health systems manage labor and capacity. The impact is real: we save hospitals millions in unnecessary labor spend, give clinical leaders back 10–20 hours every week, and are often the reason staff and leaders stay. We’re trusted by leading health systems across the country and have raised more than $31M from top healthcare and technology investors, including our own customers. ## Our Values We hire and grow everyone against the same four values. Each one comes from a real Vitalize story. Interview with us to hear them! - **🚗 Push the Car.** Step in regardless of role. We help wherever we're needed, own problems end to end, and don't stay in our lane. People can count on us. - **🏥 Premier 1K.** We show up for our customers, always. Nearly everyone visits a customer site in their first month, and customer feedback informs everything we do. - **🗣️ Run Towards the Ugly.** Name the ugliest truth first, then propose the fix. Candor over comfort. We call out what's broken and never get complacent. - **💡 Think Bigger Fridays.** See the gap, fill it. No permission required. Every decision is an experiment: we run it, let the results decide, and drive real impact from day one. ## About Marketing We’re building Marketing to shape how the world understands Vitalize. Our job is to tell Vitalize’s story, build our brand, create demand, and bring new products and features to market. We stay close to our customers and turn what we’re building and the outcomes we’re driving into clear, compelling stories. Marketing is the fabric that stitches together that language for how Vitalize is talked about across product, customers, and recruiting. As an early member of the team, you’ll help shape what great marketing looks like here ## About the Role We’re looking for our first Content Marketing hire to build Vitalize’s content engine and create content healthcare leaders actually want to read, share, and come back to. You’ll own our content strategy, turning what we’re learning from customers and across the industry into content that helps healthcare leaders understand the problems we’re solving and what’s possible with Vitalize. This is a highly hands-on role. You’ll develop the strategy and do the work: interview customers and internal experts, uncover compelling stories and insights, create thought leadership, develop campaigns, and find new ways to get our ideas in front of the right people. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer Success, and our founders to create content that builds trust, makes Vitalize easier to discover, creates demand, and ultimately drives growth. ## What You’ll Bring - **Own our content strategy.** Develop the editorial strategy, themes, formats, and distribution plan that help Vitalize reach healthcare executives and operational leaders. - **Create exceptional content.** Write and produce customer stories, thought leadership, reports, guides, executive content, webinars, and other formats that are genuinely useful to our audience. - **Tell our customers’ stories.** Work directly with health system leaders to capture the problems they’re solving, the outcomes they’re achieving, and what others can learn from them. - **Turn expertise into stories.** Partner with our founders and internal experts to turn what we’re learning about healthcare labor, staffing, and capacity into compelling points of view. - **Make Vitalize discoverable.** Understand what healthcare leaders are searching for and asking, then build and optimize content for traditional search and emerging AI discovery. - **Build content campaigns end to end.** Take ideas from concept through creation and distribution, turning strong insights into content that works across multiple formats and channels. - **Measure and improve.** Track search visibility, engagement, conversion, and pipeline influence, using those insights to determine what we create and invest in next. - **Build for scale.** Create the systems and processes that make our content easy to find, reuse, measure, and scale, while partnering across Brand, Product Marketing, and Growth. ## **What You'll Do** - 4+ years of experience in content marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS, healthcare, or another complex industry - Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complicated ideas clear, interesting, and memorable - A strong instinct for what makes a story worth telling, not just what fills a content calendar - Experience developing a content strategy **and** personally creating the work - Strong interviewing skills and the ability to draw compelling insights out of customers and subject matter experts - Experience with SEO, content analytics, and using search and customer data to identify opportunities - Familiarity with how discovery is changing through AI search and LLMs, and excitement about experimenting with how brands show up in those environments - Experience creating and distributing content across multiple formats and channels - Strong cross-functional instincts and comfort working with customers, executives, Sales, Product, and Customer Success - High ownership and comfort with ambiguity. You’re excited to build the function, not inherit a playbook - Genuine curiosity about healthcare and the problems Vitalize is solving ## Benefits - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) with company match - Flexible PTO - Unlimited travel budget to visit customer sites - Bi-annual company off-sites - Free meals in-office - $5,000 relocation bonus - Desk setup reimbursement - Commuter benefits - Monthly gym/wellness stipend - An awesome office in Jackson Square, steps from the water
